How do you explain why the friendzone is bad? My friend asked

Friendzone is a term used to refer to a man who wants something romantic with a woman, but the woman only wants a platonic relationship.

It's considered a bad thing in the eyes of men because you empathize with the man wanting a woman he can't have.

The friendzone is in your head.

The friendzone is when guys stick around with a girl after being rejected, or without being honest with their feelings resulting in the girl assuming that said male just want's a platonic relationship.

It doesn't exist.

Because the friendzone means that you have been romantically rejected, but rather than being allowed to deal with that rejection you are forced into a sort of limbo in which you are not allowed to implement your coping mechanism of choice because of continued proximity to the one who rejected you.

Really fucking nasty women will string you along and feed off of the attention and validation you give them like vampires. What's really fucked is you think you have a chance so you don't go find an actual relationship instead.

Sometimes it's just one of the parties being clueless to the other. Nothing wrong with that, happens all the time.

Then there's exes who keep you in the picture as a backup cause they think they can trade up but aren't 100% sure it'll work out. That's top scumbag.

Pray you don't end up in zone 1. Zone 2 and 3 are easily escaped with good self awareness.
