Do Army man. Take the ASVAB and see what kind of jobs you qualify for.

Seriously it's not a bad life. A little bit frustrating sometimes, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Plus you'll get in great shape and meet a ton of people from all over the country.

Air Force is also great, with what is definitely the highest quality of life in the military, but it's also the most difficult branch to get into (aside from the Coast Guard, which is REALLY hard to get into).

Jarhead here. In this time period of peacetime, stuff really sucks so it's not gonna be all rudy-tooty-point-and-shooty, if that's what you were going for. It isn't usually like that anyways, but if you want to join the military and get something back from it, go and train for a high speed unit in the special operations community. The Muhreens have some cool kats, but the Army is where you want to go if you wanna be a special snowflake. SOF guys are constantly deploying and doing shit so it won't have to deal with peacetime BS for most of the time you're in. Just my 2 cents.
