This is going to be a relatively quick thread.
I'm autistic, severe anxiety, the meds help, but basically I have trouble expressing emotions and making facial expressions to match those emotions. Socialization is typically strange, and at times a painful experience.
With this said, I'm a cellist as well. There is one girl who I met who has continued being my friend despite my social short comings and general need for attention. I understand she has no romantic inclination towards me so far, but it would be a lie if I said I did not feel anything towards her. The first time I saw her, she had long hair and front cut bangs, a low waving dress-like skirt and a red shirt I believe. Something out a movie truly.
Is writing a symphony (yes, an entire symphony) for her "over board"? I wanted to capture our few years together in a beautiful piece. I've never written something as large as what I'm planning.

Sorry, but this is a saxon board.

If you haven't already asked her out, then yes.
Actually, the problem isn't so much in writing the symphony, per se. The problem is hiding your feelings for long enough to write a symphony. Writing a symphony for your girlfriend is awesome. Writing a symphony for someone you're too scared to ask out is creepy.
Chances are it would make her feel odd and alienate her.
On the bright side, it's an amazing footnote for a work of art.
Do it OP, nothing to lose.

Thanks anon, see I don't know what "creepy" would be but its good to know now. Who knows, maybe if I shape up to be a person she is interested in I can tell her in the future.

I'll make it about her but do it for myself. Footnote indeed anon. Thank you.
