Long shot, but has anyone else here had brain surgery? I just want to talk to someone who I can relate with.
My email is [email protected] if you want to email me too
What about anyone else with a neurological disorder like MS or epilepsy?
You should probably look for support groups in your area.

I can't relate but wish you all the best anon, get well soon!

I think I'm looking more for 1 on 1
I'm not sure what kind of counseling would be good, I also can't drive so getting to counseling is also an issue

Thanks anon
It's been 7 months but not everything is back to normal yet which is concerning
>>16861382
What kind of limitations you have by now?
>>16861430
I find it difficult to go from task to task and I find any complex work to be daunting
It's hard to explain, hence wanting to discuss it with someone who's experienced something similar
>>16861430
Learning new tasks is difficult whereas I have no difficulty learning or understanding New concepts
Nobody? Does anybody know anything about occupational therapy?
>>16861342
you could ask your Dr/surgeon for a therapy/counseling recommendation

I don't see my neurologist again until July but that's a good idea I suppose
bump again
Anybody ?
last bump
Sorry I'm not the person you're looking for but I'm all ears, also interested.
Brains are very good in rewiring things when needed, It's just a matter of time for you to be functioning like before.

Maybe send me an email and I'll do my best to explain
I kind of want the thread to die now
How about you just ask questions here, this is an anonymous board after all.

Quite a few personality disorders, forgive the drunkeness. I can pretend to get along with normals long enough to do my job, but when it comes to being real, I need other non-neurotypical individuals. Good luck, mate.

Well basically I am dealing with concerns over recovery of cognition and memory.
I feel back to normal physically, my personality hasn't changed, I'm not depressed, I don't have difficulty communicating or anything like that, but I find task oriented things hard to learn and complete which is new
I can feel in my head when I'm processing some information or tasks
I have no trouble understanding new concepts but applying concepts is difficult now
I mostly wanted to talk with anybody else with brain issues because nobody else understands me
I sustained a severe traumatic brain injury in a car accident... I know exactly what you're talking about. Feel free to email me for some real talk with someone who understands: ashley1_9@hotmail
