So recently I had an orthodontist consultation because I was self-conscious about my jaw and perceived overbite. Well I recently learned that I do in fact have a very large overbite and may need braces.
Well originally I just wanted them for cosmetics but apparently I hear that you can develop long-term tooth problems with an overbite as well, and I was wondering if these problems are actually true. If they are, this will influence my decision to get braces.
You probably would have started developing such problems by now if your overbite were really that severe. I have one too and it's firmly in the "large" category, but I've not had a single issue with it outside of the bothersome appearance when I pull back my lips.

I'm still pretty young though (20) so I don't know how much of an issue it would be. I do want it to fix my appearance, but I don't really want to go down that route for all that money unless I'm going to get health benefits as well.
Don't wanna get pushed off.
Gonna keep bumping.
Bump again.
One more.

I did, but his job is to sell braces.
