I'm a CS major at a really competitive school. I'm barely managing a 3.2 which I'm really happy for provided that half of my class dropped out or are repeating classes, but my family continues to scold me, threaten to stop paying for my tuition, condemn my girl friend and the time I spend with her, and consider setting me up with a therapist to stop my "addiction to weed" (I like to smoke after exams).

It's really stressful and also extremely difficult to even continue. I've had too many sleepless nights where I consider just dropping out of school or cutting off all my ties with my family. I just simply can't get these people off my back and it's starting to affect my relationships and school work.

Anyone have any ideas or experiences that can help me out? Also my parents aren't Asian. They're Russian.

Do what I did with my Asian parents. Lie lie lie

I liked about my grades, I bared managed a 3.5 but I told them I have a 4.0
I had sex with my bf but I told them I was a virgin
I told them I did hw all the time but I played vidya

if all else fails, student loans aren't too bad. You're a CS major so you'll be able to pay them back easily
