I'm early shift (5AM), and I work tomorrow as well. You always have the option to call out, but honestly, I don't think it's gonna be very busy, as many people are likely going out to get hammered as fuck. Although tomorrow morning may be a slightly different story. Drunk people apparently come to drive-thru overnight, so there's a good chance you'll have a laugh. I say keep the shift, man. It's gonna look bad on you anyway, calling out on a Holiday unless you have good reason.

Don't get me wrong, I've called out my fair share of times, but I generally avoid Holidays -- my boss is not a happy camper when this occurs. Again, it's up to you, but I'd keep the shift. Pretty sure wage is going up anyway, like today, atleast for me. So as the other anon said. you'd be a step ahead of everyone.

I would also like to add that McDonalds does have a day off book. You could have requested off any day you wanted, as long as it's a week before the next schedule is posted. For me, that's on Monday.
