talk to him about it. if he is, do what you like more. you cant do something for or against him.
if you want it gone cuz it will make you happy then cut it off. you can of course always save the money, cancel the surgery and just get the surgery if anything ever happens but i don t think its a great idea to change your life so much based on a guy.
