For reasons I wont get into, My dad has never used anything past a windows 95 computer without internet. He has not touched a computer in over 10 years, does not own a tablet or cellphone (Although he does have a circa 2005 flip phone for work). He even still uses a film camera.

How do I get him into the world of technology?

I was thinking an iPad would be nice, they are simple as fuck. But, I have a galaxy tab 4 8in I could load up with solitaire and shit. I need some help. I live 2900 miles away so I cant walk him through anything in person.

We got our grandpa who was in a similar situation and iPad as well. Still had to show him how to use it and stuff though.
Could also just get him a simple chromebook/cheap laptop http://www.logicalincrements.com/#!/laptop
