As I see it, you have three options if you want to date, assuming the stuff said is even halfway true.

You can lower your options, improve your looks (fitness, makeup, other boards would likely be more helpful), or become more interesting. The last one is a bit less defined, but basically leave your comfort zone and develop new interests and experiences.

There is no real magic answer you seem to be looking for.
