So I can't tell if this guy either has some kind of interest in me or thinks I'm a total freak.

To be blunt, I honestly don't consider myself to be too attractive, at least not conventionally. I'd rate myself 4 out of 10, maybe 5 if we're being generous.

This guy doesn't talk to me despite having a ton of opportunities. He'll greet me when I come in, but that's about as far as it goes. He's very confident and he talks to just about everyone else. And he has no reason to be intimidated by me or whatever, I'm awkward as can be and clumsy as shit, so basically your typical aspie. Honestly, I get the vibe that he gossips about me and says bad things.

...But he stares at me. There's an aisle directly in front of the self-checkout he runs, and he'll stare at me every time I walk down it. Most everyone else who has run the self-checkout doesn't really pay attention to me, or they'll glance at me and look away, but it's like this guy watches me while I'm doing whatever in that aisle.

When I'm around him, he doesn't really give any indicators that he's nervous or anything. But sometimes when he asks me to do something, he'll stutter. He's typically a slow talker, sometimes he pauses between words, but he'll never really stutter when talking to anyone else.

When I'm checking out in the self-checkout lane while he's running it, he'll stare at me the WHOLE time I'm there. Then, when I grab my stuff to go, he'll look straight ahead just before I raise my head from my bags, like he's pretending that he wasn't looking. When he notices that I'm carrying a little black basket, he'll take it from me and put it in the basket deposit for me even though I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself (the deposit isn't anymore than 12 feet away from the spot I'm checking out in).

Occasionally, when he asks me to do something, he'll look straight into my eyes, it's like we lock eyes. He doesn't look away or anything.

And it's so confusing. If he doesn't like me or has no interest in me, why would he waste time staring at me? I don't want to aknowlege that he stares by looking at him because I feel like I'll make things awkward. I have such a hard time gauging how he might feel about me because he sends so many mixed signals.
>>
He likes you or at least considers you interesting. Approach him
>>
Op I feel you, I'm having mixed feelings about a guy at my work too. If you ever get the chance, try making small talk with this guy on a break or something. See where it takes you.

I'm too nervous though, I'm scared of what he might think if I suddenly start talking to him out of the blue as I don't really "talk" to anybody. Plus, I have aspergers. I have social skills on par with a rock.
>>
>>16518725
Also, I should mention that he most likely has a girlfriend.
>>
>>16518725
Okay, then maybe start by taking baby steps. Try saying Hi at least. The most that would probably happen is that he'd say hi back.
>>
>>16518725
casual chatter happens at almost every single job, how is this situation any different? Even if he finds you weird it doesn't seem like he would be mean about it.
>>
>>16518725
Just try, everything indicates that he likes you or is a lunatic.

>most likely has a GF
Okay, maybe you shouldn't try anything if you are absolutely certain that he does have a GF. If it turns out he doesn't have one then the taking is yours.
>>
>this creepy guy stares at me! how do I stop it? :(
>hey, this good looking guy stares at me at work, how do I talk to him? :D
I, being a fucking autist, will never understand this.
>>
>>16518727
That might be the reason right there. It seems like he is very strongly attracted to you, maybe he feels conflicted or something, and that's where the mixed signals come in.
