I've only commissioned known characters so far, I don't have any OC in mind, and I doubt I could come up with anything terribly creative in design if I tried to make on on-the-fly solely for porn purposes.

Them again, the thought has crossed my mind on occasion to maybe have someone create a visual of a scene from one of my smutfics that have no fandom basis. You don't even need to download and install it if you don't want to, you can just use the browser version. You use the link in the OP to join the discord server, where you can then chat with other buyers and artists, have easy access to commission sheets and discount sales, and can organize or join collabs.

It's a pretty chill server.

Hm, honestly the "bounced light" looks kind of cheap: it looks like you're using an airbrush tool over the existing shadow layer for the effect, and it just makes everything that reflects the light look like you didn't manage to stay "inside the lines".

Bounced light is hard to get right, and there are sections of the skin where it looks nice, but I'd say there's not enough of a difference to justify the ten-buck increase when it's clear you still don't have a solid grasp on the technique.

Still, if there's demand for it, more power to you, and you get some more practice in.

What I had in mind was getting two characters, maybe even more depending on interest, drawn and splitting the cost halfway. Pose, OCs or not, other variables could be figured out.

I don't have a solid sheet but single characters are as low as 12 if they're naked, up to 18 if their clothes are stupidly complicated. Multiple characters raises prices but it depends on how complicated the poses and interactions are. Price comes down a bit if you have a pose ref
I'll draw any damn thing you want. If it's really gross and terrible I'll just ask you not to tell anyone it was me. It does feel weird paying a ton of money for "one picture" (of 10 robots) but it's no different from paying a ton for 10 pictures

You can get each separately as part of a long time project, just tell the artist to save it as png with transparency background to make the composition easier, this one took almost 2 months, I drew them separately and then just put them together sharing new shadows.

I would say that the way you've drawn the boobs are too high, and not squished enough on her arms.
You've drawn some nice boobies, but they're not reacting to her arms enough.

So, I'm getting into game dev and I'm trying to track down artists who'd be interested in 18+ game projects to do game over/event CGs, character art and things like that.

One of the key requirements is they need to be an artist that works somewhat fast, If I need a batch of 10 cgs, someone who can only turn out a picture every 2-3 weeks isn't gonna work out.

Let me be real here, I'm a newbie dev just getting started so I'm not entirely "professional level" myself. And I mean, there's a reason I'm looking into artists around here. I can't afford the $300+ per asset that true "professional artists" charge so I'm not really gonna be expecting AAA level art either.

Again, he just wants to get rid of you. Fixing a rough sketch takes seconds. I would understand if you had asked for changes after lineart of coloring, but sketching takes no time

Also, going through lineart and color without your feedback is just awful service. He was probably scared you would find more wrong stuff in the pic so they just banged it out as fast as they could

i usually show the sketch, then maybe a revised sketch if they had a major issue with it that I'm still not sure about (even just that area cropped)
then the lineart, then the flats if the colors aren't obvious, then the finished product

Hearing these horror stories makes me count my blessings, I've yet to encounter anything that bad. Worst I've had so far is a first piece from a new artist turned out a bit different stylistically than I expected, but a second try with them is currently looking to have good results.

For me, if you're doing, say, a coloured lineart pic, a sketch should be the very least you should send in terms of WIP.

I find receiving a non-coloured lineart helpful too, though I won't insist on it. Sometimes there are issues you can't see in a rough sketch, though they're usually pretty minor if any.
