If any artist is concerned about piracy in the digital art industry, here's the fool proof way to tackle that issue and leave it lying on the floor with a broken shoulder and a concussion.

1. Give free low quality previews on your website. Get ad $.
2. Open yourself to commissions.
Remember, you don't have to take any commissions you don't like, and you can literally decline all commissions until you get a commission that makes you think "hey that would be cool to draw!", and you can take that and get paid for it. The characters might not be your own, but that's not a big deal. You can always swap around a hairstyle or skin tone later or during the process to give yourself an alternative version
3. Offer a way for people to pay for higher quality versions of the previewed images. Perhaps even give full or high/medium quality free, and charge for EARLY high quality access through a website.
4. Never "part" with a high quality finished product without receiving something.
What I mean by this is if you create your work at 16K x 12K resolution or some shit, don't ever let people download that until you're satisfied with never getting paid for that again. Scale down, then release.

Example
Release free ~400 height jpegs on your website.
Provide zoomed in detail highlight previews with them.
Release ~700 height jpegs for members on the site.
Release ~1200 height PNGs for "premium" or some shit.
Only release the full resolution image after you're happy with what you've earned so far with it, or offer to sell the "master" (aka the psd/xcf + distribution rights) to an individual for a worthy price, or start a fundraiser. Set a goal, take donations, upon reaching donation goal, release your fullsize image and (maybe the project/rights) free to the public on your website.

Don't do what Ack is trying to do. It's scummy, not well thought out, and just plain shitty for all involved.

What made me pause and start thinking instead of scrolling past was an idle attempt to picture the moments immediately before the instant that's captured.

Something felt weird, off.

The manner and order of disrobing is a strong indicator of the power dynamics of a sexual encounter. Clothing protects the body, bulks the silhouette, etc. To remove it is to become vulnerable. Removing your own clothing while your partner remains clothed demonstrates your trust; removing your partner's clothing while you remain clothed demonstrates your dominance. Speaking as a man, men commonly dislike displaying vulnerability - which is why a nude or partially exposed female but a completely clothed or even armored (except for dick) male is a fairly common scene in fantasy erotica.

But this image turns the trope on its head. The orcs have chosen to strip themselves before the elf. Their clothes are out of frame, so it's sure that the elf has seen at least one of them naked from head to toe walking towards her (i.e., at their *most* vulnerable, in contrast to, say, grabbing her face and then removing their clothes right next to her while she is preoccupied and her view of everything below the belt is obscured).

In other words, these orcs are so totally confident in their dominant appearance to the point that they're taking metaphorical handicaps just to emphasize that dominance in the minds of everyone watching.

And they should be, because they're fucking YOLKED. This might be /fit/ rubbing off on me but I think I appreciated the orc bodies more than the elf in this one. I especially like that modeler avoided the freakish bodybuilder extreme definition and went with a "brick wall" look. His(?) attention to detail shows on the elf as well, with gravity-obeying boobs. I don't know enough anatomy to say it's all great, but he's avoided some common traps and I appreciate the effort.
