You don't actually need to tank anything. My default party is Simon/Aka/Robin/Yarra since that lets me hit just about any weak point with damage, but Simon/Aka/Varia/Qum can two-turn kill Ginasta before she even gets her second attack off if the turns go correctly, since Aka can debuff defenses, Qum can boost offense and Varia can just eat faces with her five-hit attack. Aka does have a high crit rate especially if you bought her special dagger because it gets to about 35% crit rate and those bypass defenses, I think.

I don't use a tank or healer during normal battles because you don't take damage if everything's dead and you can always heal up after the fight is over.

That's a silly statement. Yes, tentacles have been done many times, but that does not mean they can't be exciting. NN had some good tentacle scenes.

Hell, pretty much everything any game would do has probably been done before, but the buildup, and scene settings can make it quite enjoyable. NN had flaws, but the overall setting and writing were solid. It was an enjoyable experience.

So, big news today.

I doubt anyone remembers me, but I dropped by a while ago asking for some input on a game I'm working on. To jog your memory, I'm working on a game that's inspired by stuff like CoC and Slablands, by which I mean a primarily text-based erotic fantasy RPG. Back then I was asking for ideas about what fantasy races to add to the game.

I got some good suggestions, but this weekend I decided to rewrite some parts of the engine, and while I was working on that generated, I decided to do a complete overhaul of the way characters are generated and add a new feature: Mod support!

You'll be able to add new races (or change existing ones) by adding a simple text file. Right now the whole feature is at an early state and only humanoid races are supported, but I'm planning on adding support for some more "fantastic" options (for example races with multiple sets of arms, a snake tail instead of legs, stuff like that). I probably won't get -too- freaky with this since that would make it too hard to write dynamic scenes for each option, but I figure this would be way better than just having a handful of stock options to choose from.

Right now the game isn't in a playable state and since I don't have as much time to work on it as I'd like, progress will be slow. Once I get a playable alpha version I'll probably make a webpage somewhere to upload it, but until then I'll just post my extremely sporadic and entirely unasked for updates in these threads. :^)
