This is what i meant when i said about getting the base art done and making quick scenes.

You document outlining progression shouldn't really be complete. The more crappy scenes you make the more ideas will spawn, then more you'll re-write and amend/add the art.

If your doc says "week 1 make game, week 2 be bigger than minecraft" it's pointless

if it's "week 1 get 5 ren'py scenes and a new Malon pic done" Then it doesn't really matter about the quality of he scenes the more you create the more of a style will form, the more you learn in small steps the more of a "game" it will become.

do something like "Hello im malon, blah blah blah" " then "malon asked you to do this" and add some task that gains you her trust, once you hit 100 trust or something the option for "malon gets her tits out" shows and she does

now i know that doesn't make sense as a game, but it's a simple reward loop just to show how it works, then you can bulk it up, add better dialogue, an actual plot, gold and milk to buy and sell

lots of people myself included can give you simple "days" where once the intro is out the way it will start with Malons tasks and go until you see her tits

Speaking of time, the GDD doesn't lay out a dev time schedule, it's mostly detailing dialogue and CG placement, interface options for when appropriate (like market options, or "training" options) and various things, like the map screen. (what areas are available, what's not, etc)

but again, I do think you're right in just getting test scenes in. like putting in the trust meter and related meters established ASAP would go a long way.

By the way, to put things in perspective, I haven't really gone "into the full swing" of development yet. I'm still in the late planning stage, and then actual dev cycles will start.

If done right (see Akabur/Hermonie), it's not only fun, but so damn hot if properly aligned with the trainees psyche/emotions.
