I personally think we should nationally lower the age of consent to 16 for photos/pictures. Not because i'm attracted to 16 year olds. But society doesn't like that because it's not based on some objective standard by which all can be measured, and society is made uncomfortable with the thought of sex, let alone sex involving people under the age of consent.

The only good argument I've ever heard in favor of an objective age of consent (versus some other standard) is that our society attempts to make education a priority until at least the age of 18, and by removing sex from the equation they intend to make "kids" focus on their education.

Of course, that doesn't work because no one ever ignores their basic nature, and "kids" are going to experiment with sex regardless of what society wants to make a priority.

By 16 most people are fully sexually mature and mostly understand right from wrong at that age. Most 16 year olds know when they're being creeped on or when a person looks shady and should be stayed away from

15 and under year olds tend to have a problem with this because this is when they're at their most vulnerable/awkward states. This is why I believe that they should not be allowed to have sex. Also, 14 year olds often don't know a thing about sex and think it's what they see on TV/radio/media. By 16 they know all about this shit through sex ed and their parents and such.
