If it's one of the all-in-one releases, it should have a shell script you can run to start the game.

If it only comes with the windows executable, you can either use wine or download the ren'py sdk, copy the game folder in there and play it through that.

I've had some games give errors with the second method, but I suspect it was from having an outdated sdk. Not certain about that though.

So there is an important question, how important is for to level up for you guys?

Right now the character increases its stats by using them (using skills related to combate i.e. or in certain events), but there is not such thing as character level.

I had the idea that skills would have level tho, as in you start at level 1 and have only 1 skill of that type, and if you use it you level up and opens the next skill.

This means that when you start the game you have 16 skills available, but grinding to unlock other types can be boring or too demanding, and since it may change slightly the content, maybe thats not great idea and you could just start with all the skills unlocked.

If your going to do practice makes perfect make it enjoyable, don't do what skyrim did and make it so the best way to grind skills is to do the same shit over and fucking over again, have certain things increase skill xp significantly compared to others, also combat skills increase on kills with the xp relative to enemy level. (i.e if i kill someone with a sword i get 5xp to swords from the hit, 500xp from the killing blow)

Originally the idea was that combat style = behavior of your character, but that seems odd and, I want people be able to change their attitude without grinding, so I will make that a separate thing (you will pick behavior which is independant of the combat style).

AIF games here, few have pictures, and of the few that do almost all of them are various forms of 3D. British Fox has like three drawings. Goblinboy also made images for Bad Sister, even though he didn't write it himself.

Working Man was pretty good and has pictures, and even has scenes which change based on the characters' state of dress.

BBBen's work (Pervert Action Crisis, Pervert Action Future) has 3D but tends towards anime as fuck, also has some VA work. His earlier version of Pervert Action Crisis had some 2D stuff, but still heavily anime, and the images were replaced with 3D models in Super Pervert Action Crisis.

Virtual Date Ariene and Something's in the Air are 3D stuff as well, Ariene in particular probably inspired some knock-offs.

Circles of Desire has images, but is kind of a mixed bag.

Not playing games without pics means you're missing out on some of the better ones that came out within the past few years like Magician's Nephew and The Lost Hound.

Last Horizon also has a neat little random-ish game function where there are a couple of different plots the game can pick from at the start.

I also just generally enjoyed Working Man, The Lost Hound, and the Magician's Nephew out of some of the games that have been released in the past few years. If you're going further back then NewKid has some nice stuff with Ideal Pacific Coast University probably being my favorite.

What you also don't seem to get is that not everyone only likes subjugation or consent. Some people like both, and some people aren't going to pretend they don't care about a game anymore because the developer is taking a little extra time than they otherwise would to make more diverse content available to the player. My point is when you look at psychology and manipulation, getting rewards is a greater motivator when avoiding punishment. It is quite feasible to manipulate a woman into doing what you want through love and affection (whether genuine or not). Therefore, a "love" path could very well work in a slave trainer game.

You're creating a false dichotomy. What are these "camps" you speak of. I enjoy playing traditional slave trainer games where you trick, threaten, and torture your way to controlling the woman. I also believe I would like a gentler path with a happier ending as well. I'm not sure that people have to be in one camp or the other.

Then you're not thinking it through. The moose will be relevant regardless. Hunting is essential to the village, and in the love path, you'd still hunt to impress the village. Anger is merely replaced with a love appropriate stat. It can easily use the same mechanic.

Personally, I think you're overreacting at this point. We don't know how much work will go into a second route. We don't know how quickly this dev (or team) works. It's premature to think it will delay things so much that the audience will lose interest.

So i've been thinking and to be honest I dont want to make the combat overly complicated with strong vs weak enemy types and stuff (tho some enemies will be more suceptible to physical attacks or arousing attacks than others), since I rather work on the porn and followers than combat.

I think there will be 6 category skills at your disposal to build your fighting style as you wish, but thats it.
The general idea that I had since the start is that some attacks may reduce your HP/Will to fight or increase your lust; the more powerful, the more risky you have to get yourself fucked up (one way or another).

Lore-wise, HP more than hit points is "Will to Fight", when it gets reduced to 0 the character has to either scape or yield (the enemy always yield tho, for porn's sake)

Also the idea is that when you use a skill there are 4 posible scenarios (based on accuracy), critical hit, hit, miss, critical miss.

Right now I have these 6 categories, what you guys think?

Martial arts (balanced damage, can reduce some lust while fighting thanks to its concentration)

Berserker (Very powerful damage but gets aroused faster than others),

Alchemy (Can do a lot of arousing damage but can backfire too, reducing its HP or increasing its lust)

Trickster (does a decent amount of HP damage but can also backfire a lot if it "gets caught"/misses)

Diplomatic (does excelent amount HP damage but it receives a lot of damage if it fails).

Balanced (Does average/low everything, has good accuracy, and when it fails is not a big deal)

What are you using?
With rpg maker save edit you first need to turn on Switches and Variables from advanced menu.
Then the affections and corruptions are trivially visible on variables tab.
But remember that they have to have changed at least once to be in the list, so you have to have the character and their affection and corruption must have changed to be able to edit them.
