To clarify further on that, I should mention that just about every child in that game grows up absurdly fast. Goblins grow up off screen, the first few sets of mouse pups grow up almost instantly, the shark girls grow to adolescence super quick, I think most of the monster pregnancies end up either fucking you or wandering off the moment they're born. Marble's kids are relatively slower, but they're still toddling around on their own pretty soon after birth. The harpies you have with Sophie stay small for a bit but then suddenly balloon into bimbo sluts, much to my chagrin.

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head who have more normal growth times are Cotton's kids.

He took donations for CoC, he took actual payments for early access to TiTs and releases older versions for free access.

The reason he gave up on finishing CoC is because he didn't know what the fuck he was doing when he started it, so it rapidly become an unmanageable pile of spaghetti code, based in Flash no less (the horror!)
He started TiTS basically as a replacement, to start over and get the framework in place right this time to properly expand it. He never really expected CoC to take off like it did.
