Working my way through Ouroboros. Seriously great game. I'm wondering though, how do I fight this fucker? Everyone does zero damage to it, no matter what element I try, and it cycles through elements so I can't stack defense and hope Pierce whittles it down. Do I need the fourth character?

Man, you really need to play Ouroboros. It's a really rare example of rpgmaker combat being fun. It's fights are actually more like puzzles where you try to figure out how to defeat our enemies and what you need for it, and there's no grinding at all.

Soldier's life is like the exact opposite of TLS and OuroBoros. It has great CG (And by "great" I mean it has a short haired chick so I love it) but the gameplay is absolute garbage.

This is what makes the pacing of porn so important. With TLS I end up either playing and not fapping or going to something else to finish, and then never returning.

With Noxian Nights its paced well enough that if I want to I can extend a single fap over the entire game, which is glorious.

Story is not well written. Impossible to take remotely seriously, has flat, personality-less caricatures who do stupid 80s porn-movie things (e.g, the nun who decides to stretch and meditate naked in your house, is surprised when you see her but doesn't care). All of this would be forgivable in a lighthearted sexcomedy... but the writing isn't funny. When it tries to tell jokes it usually fails. Worse, the writing isn't sexy. At its best it's 80s porn-movie excuse-dialogue, completely lacking in buildup or escalation or getting to know the characters or anything.

Amount of thought that has been put into the game goes down steadily as you get further along.

I really wanted to like the 0.01 version; I even spent a small amount of shekels on it. It had potential, it was a cool idea, it was unexpectedly professional for a first effort. I figured all of the problems I just listed were issues that would be fixed as they found their writing voice and learnt more about game design.

There will be four scenes. Each scene will allow you to transition between forms by pressing a button at any point. Currently there is no plan to have narration change depending on what form you have, but I might try to do that. Emaciated Alma will be a hidden unlock-able. "Healthy Alma" is the default.

I don't want to promise anything cause - you know - western porn games never come out, but I've figured out enough with Ren'Py to actually have it do what I want. The challenge in development is more of a matter of drawing everything. It comes out to 6 images per scene, cause I want each form to have two images in each one. So - like - 24 images in total. The game will probably be short as hell, and meant to be replayed.

Push comes to shove, I'll cut out Emaciated Alma, cause I haven't really heard anyone actually calling for it, and the only reason I'm kind of interested in it is because it might be interesting to draw.

There will not be a demo. It's all or nothing. And that's the last picture I will post of it until way later into development.

Ouroboros was quite worth the little prace it's gotten.
