seriously though, there is no way the na'vi would be able to put up a fight against a determined terran takeover. maybe if we go full high fantasy where a hunter with a bow can take on a MBT or jet fighter simply by divine power. Which sounds pretty cool but is absolutely ridiculous.

Honestly with the advanced technology humanity posses (especially 150 years into the future as the movie shows) humans could colonize and thrive on Pandora without affecting the ecosystem at the slightest. We are shown huge steppes in the movie where a human colony would fit without problem.

yeah, I definitely got the impression that the people involved just didn't care about having minimal ecological impact. The lead dickhead even said there were other deposits of magic rock, but it was cheaper to go after that particular one. it"s not impossible that another company with kinder ethics could get the mining contract. I don't know how they are going to drag four more movies out of that plot, though.

I would love to see more nuance in the characters, though. I mean, the day was won by a grunting jarhead with a heart of gold, not one of the scientists. maybe in the next movie we can see a penny-pinching moneyman with a heart of gold, too?

I hope they don't use variations of the same plot or theme again. The plot was arguable the weakest part of the movie, so doing it again seems very dumb.

I was thinking size difference stuff with a human dude allowed to walk without a mask due to using state of the art implanted filter equipment, or maybe micromachines consequently allowing him to experience his Na'vi partner in more ways than just tactile.

Maybe a human and a young Na'vi could get stranded far away from any settlement due to a plane crash, and only they survive. The Na'vi could've been a curious volunteer in a familiarization program or something.

While Na'vi wouldn't initially find a small human attractive, this could change after some incidents where human uses his knowledge and weapons to a great effect, maybe saving the Na'vi from an otherwise fatal situation. Though the size difference could still make the Na'vi feel strange about their relationship, probably because the human resembles a very juvenile Na'vi size wise, except being very muscular and well endowed. If this is taken more kinky, this could even result in the Na'vi feeling a strange of mix of sexual attraction, and maternal instincts - and whatever weird might result from that with the anatomy and psychology of a Na'vi female.

Though i don't remember, if humans could eat Pandoran food at all, or in any raw or processed form, or would it require some form of more intricate processing?

Doubtful from an evolutionary perspective. Physical strength is always going to be an advantage, especially in a stone-age, hunter gatherer society. Mate selection in higher order animals is primarily based on desirable traits one wants to pass on to one's young.
