Yeah, pretty much. His anatomy is garbage, he draws every single tit and ass like they have really terrible implants. He's never drawn a natural breast in his entire career. He's garbage at perspective, his shading is pretty lazy if you actually get in-depth. The only thing he's really decent at is backgrounds which even then he refuses to follow the laws of perspective.

Shad gets that shitty rep because his art is awful and it's also everywhere. Usually when you're looking through porn art and you find something that looks awful you just pass it by and don't say anything. His art is definitely overexposed. You can't go anywhere without seeing it.

And I don't know if I agree that he doesn't have a drive to improve. I mean, that might be true, but what I think is a bit more fair to say is that he has a comfort zone and he has no interest in traveling outside it. He likes 16-18 year old punky-goth scene girls who listen to oldschool heavy metal, so he turns almost all girls he draws into that. He'll go outside this occasionally to draw an occasional loli, or an occasional MILF, but those are probably fetishes he has also.
