So just wondering, Last thread's OC brawl activity thingy, were winners for each tier ever decided? or it was just fun with entering characters and there was never intended to be any kind of results?
I could only imagine how difficult would been to determine who won the SuperHuman tier since nearly everyone entered that one.

She is a 30% self-insert character to be exact!
I made her using a lot of basics then filled the blanks with my own info (most notably the height and weight)
As for her Sp. Atk, it was always the joke that her magic stat was insanely and devastatingly high (for story reasons) but she sucked so much at casting magic they rarely hit at full power anyway.
But maybe it would be funny if during a fight she accidentally casted a full power Meragaia (Kafrizzle) and it just missed the opponent and would cause him/her to comically surrender

Either way, I'm pretty sure THAT Jack has some sort of magical item that lets him do that, either way, Crosshairs was born with this ability, and he can only shoot 10 air blullets once every 24 hours (Once per finger) and if he does anymore than that the finger explodes.

I am really bad at coloring but I always feel I need to bullshit some kind of shading because for some reason my flat colorings always look awful...
Tho that may be because my linework is absolutely terrible and not suited to be colored at all, and my shading is always really bad with the light source making no sense.
Not to mention the 3DS screen often shows color diferent than a monitor so when I upload it I notice that one color is way off, Pic related Marine's hair color looked accurate in the 3DS screen but on monitor it looks wierd.

I think its the screen type, DS and 3DS screens are notorious for sometimes having a "yellow-ish" tint to them, some more than others, so I guess yellow would look more orange looking on the screen than it actyally is, the worst is sometimes I draw a skin tone that looks fine on it and once exported it has a pale greenish tone to it that makes the character look sick, I hate it!

Since I'm posting anyway, postin' one of my OC works in progress. Turbine Kelly is a superhero! Or at least a pretty good hero! Currently up in the air is her colour scheme as well as whether or not she should use a weapon. I think she should have a gun or some ballistic weapon but I'm not sure what!
Originally she was meant to be kind of small and cute but y'know. Thicc happens.

Thing is, the poster didn't even bother to introduce the OC at all. No name, no backstory, no nothing. Posting art of a character that you can't be assed to talk about isn't contributing to the thread, and can even be seen as subtle begging. Cilia Lavoix! She's an orthodox queen that rules Middle Francia above Mina's kingdom! They butt heads a lot because she's an orthodox christian and super duper zealous and kind and Mina is a catholic and a big butt. Now a new technical issue shows its face! because it would not be me without tons of technical issues! (sorry for always talking about them.)
The 3D Slider on my 3DS has been faulty for long ago, which is not a problem, but Colors 3D decides if it will save the image as a 2D JPEG or a 3D MPO based on the slider being on or off, and since its stuck always on now it means it will save it as a 3D image, which causes a big chunk of all the borders of the canvas to be cut.
The bottom panel in pic related was a big victim, a big chunk of the bottom was cut and now looks even worse than it normally would!
Is not a big problem but I need to readjust to the fact that the canvas is now smaller than it looks, and it already was limiting enough.
I will go back to do shitty animations instead probably...

Ok, so I decided to rework one of my older OCs.
Previously she had some baggy pants look but I felt it was too Shantae, before that a shirt.
This time I'm trying some short sorts and pant legs thing.
One new idea I liked was having the wraps on the legs and sleeves looser at the top, showing bits of skin. problem is, this makes no fucking sense, since the lower parts hang more loosely. Ill probably just switch that.
I think I've got the basic idea, but not completely finalized yet. any suggestions?

I won't be visiting this place often, but as somebody who's got a couple of ocs (i.e. 200, although that includes the ones inhabiting other friends' universes, aha), I just felt like bringing this question up. What do you guys want to do with your OCs? Make a comic, write a story, get them an animated feature or vidya gaem (ha)? And what kind of legacy do you want them to carry? [spoiler] I've got about 2 good years left (can be stretched to 5 with sufficient effort, disregarding more extreme treatments) which means the comic I've been thumbnailing up until now is basically fucked. I'm getting my boyo to cameo a character or two of mine, though, so I've come to terms with it. [/spoiler]
I've found a lot of creators have this fear of letting their characters disappear without ever freeing them to the minds of others, myself included. Do you brave fellows who don't want to do anything in particular with their OCs okay with that? I'm just pretty curious about all this business; most of my friends are creating things with theirs, so it'd be interesting to see another group's thoughts.

Don't worry about it- I'm already doing that! I started to put down the worldbuilding and characters of a few of my universes down when I got diagnosed about... two months-ish back? And got into it more intensely when they figured out it was more advanced than they'd expected. I've got a solid 150 pages down now, and while there's still a lot more to go, I'd say even that's good. I've got a little thing that'll autosend the latest file to my #1 in 3 years, when I may or may not be dead. It'll be a nice surprise for him regardless.
Hell, I'd advise that everybody try and do the same at some point. Life is guaranteed to nobody, and I might be nearly certain to never even see the day that I'm legally permitted to drink, but none of you are 100% sure that you'll see tomorrow's sun. Write down what you value and it won't have to disappear with you.

I originally wanted to draw a comic and that was the purpose why I made a lot of OCs, I even wrote a huge script for a 3 part series of comics (each part being 24~ chapters of about 32 pages each) but then I realized that I can't draw comics to save my life so it all went to waste, (I probably should tried drawing something random before writing an entire story that I was not sure I was gonna be able to turn into reality.) this was ages ago too so the only remaining copy of said story is now inside my head sadly.
Eventually I got into RPG Maker and made tons of OCs for shitty games I made, and aside that I didnt made them for anything else or expect to use them in anything either.
And I am really sorry to hear that you have so little time left, you sound like you already came to terms with it so I have no idea what can I say... but I guess what I CAN say is that I hope you enjoy the time you have left to the fullest.

Well, it's not for me, really. I wasn't really all that happy with my life before this, but my friends were absolutely the best thing that could've happened to it. They've helped me out of ruts and vice versa, we've traded art and stories, we've had 24hr+ skype conversations just because we didn't want to stop talking... hell, I would probably still be miserable without them. They're great, and if I've gotta be their token Tragic Dead Friend, I want to leave something behind to help them with that. The same should go for everyone else who has people they value. Leaving behind a piece of your mind is one heck of a way to soften the blow, or at least provide a nice ice pack for the resulting bruises.
