It was the guy who did that art though, Miltonius. Also, for those that don't know, he DID quit making porn because he thought YouTube would be his success.

I bring this up every time there's an Akumi thread, but...

The artist behind Akumi was hired by a studio to make a full series for the show. He ended up butting heads with the producers and the company in general, and by the time they had anything even planned out, all the hype around the series was dead and he couldn't secure funding from the studio.

HOWEVER

He is back in business and on Patreon! He has been cranking out content pretty frequently, has had plenty of weekly updates, and it seems like his next couple of projects will be released within the next couple of weeks.

My understanding was that Miltonius/Nulgath left because he wanted to pursue his own game and possibly continue making these porn animation, and he left because that conflicted with AE's interests. I don't know how any of it has gone since then, but I still played AQW at the time of his leaving and they had some big event about it so I think they are on good terms.
