Exhentai is just a rules-light copy of e-hentai. Most of their content is shared, but exhentai also allows certain types of content that are banned e-hentai.

It's basically just a security measure to avoid normies freaking out about loli and stuff, without having to resort to mass deletion of offending content like certain other sites.

True if you're just searching for western gems. But plenty of galleries can only be accessed through sadpanda.

Just replace the 'exhentai' with 'g.e-hentai' since western galleries are not censored in the normal site.

If you visit exhentai without first having an account on g.e-hentai, it gives you a cookie that gives you a sad panda. If you make an account and/or log in to g.e-hentai and THEN go to exhentai, you won't get the cookie and therefore no sad panda.
HOWEVER, if you still have the exhentai cookie that gives you the sad panda,
you'll always get it EVEN IF you register/log in to g.e-hentai. SO, if you've visited exhentai BEFORE registering an account on g.e-hentai, you need to go to your browser's options, find where you can delete your cookies (in firefox, it's in options>privacy) and delete any and all cookies for exhentai. THEN log into g.e-hentai and THEN visit exhentai and voila, no panda, sad or otherwise.

All you have to do is log in to g.e-hentai and then edit the cookie's domain to exhentai. I also set mine to expire in 2050 and backed it (along with all my other cookies) up to a thumb drive; I haven't actually logged in in years.
