You don't really need lotion or powder as much as an adult, unless your skin is very sensitive. That's if all you're doing is peeing, it's not going to irritate your skin that much. And if you poop, well, you should probably change sooner rather than later. Still, baby powder and baby oil feel and smell nice, and diaper changes are much more pleasant with it.

Depends on how sensitive your skin is really. You can go hours in a wet diaper without any adverse effects and I know I've done much the same in messy ones as well. There are also some rash creams and ointments that create a barrier between your skin and moisture which reduces how badly it affects your skin if it's too sensitive. You can go for however long you feel comfortable with until you feel irritation or if you want to feel fresh.

Those look like plastic pants with snaps, normalfriend. You typically put them over cloth diapers to keep everything contained, since they (obviously) don't have a plastic outer layer like disposables.
