For me it usually doesn't matter if it's creature or giantess (same size is nty) just so long as it looks physically possible and the person being swallowed is just slightly bigger than the predator's oesophagus. Yeah, willing, casual, and equal is the way to go. I've thought of or seen numerous scenarios that can tap into that power dynamic - nightclubs with wristbands for predators and preys where people go to eat or be eaten by a fellow stranger, or old friends meeting up out of the blue and one offering themselves as food to the other. The sort of everyday aspect that a minority of vore artists can bring out, where normal situations can lead to a person being eaten, are easily the most erotic.

It's much harder to connect with the vore situation if it's set in some high fantasy world, or if the characters are eating each other unwillingly with no context supplied. That seems to supply a sort of erotic suspension of disbelief where the viewer can vaguely believe that they could walk out the door and eat or be eaten themselves.

There are a very small number of unwilling predator comics, but I'm not sure any of them are executed that well. They seem to be giantess ones as well. A same size one might be more interesting but I think the trick is in the premise, because simply putting together a sequence with some random prey forcing themselves down someone else's throat without a clear reason would be a bit dull.

The vore board on Reddit attempted to do a survey on what people identified as, but its validity was hampered by a low response rate. It's not an overwhelming contingent of prey, but it is a slim majority of those who responded. Predators are indeed a minority, although they seem to be overrepresented amongst submitters and content creators for some reason. It may be that predators are actually a larger group, but are less likely to respond for some intrinsic reason.

I wouldn't worry about boxing off things by pred/prey identification though, as I can't really see what bearing it has on enjoyment of most vore.

I don't think it has nearly as much to do with sub/dom for me as it does just wanting to be completely enveloped in a wall of flesh. My guess is it stems from not only being a late bloomer in a household where porn was stigmatized to the point of abuse, but also from being socially inept all throughout grade school and most of my working career, where pussy was seen as something I would probably never get in life. Now that I think about it, it may have more to do with discovering porn at an early age and not understanding anything that was physically going on. I remember in middle school latin class there was an illustration in our book from ye olde tymes (A woodcut, I think?) of a sea serpent eating a woman. I was still sort of on the verge of figuring out the vore thing at the time, but I remember the woman was laid out draped over the serpent's tongue as it swallowed her, and it gave me confusing mega-boners. In retrospect, I bet the person who made that illustration was chasing the same sort of unidentified erotic feelings that I was getting from it, because my memory of it seemed too tailored to vore to be accidental. I wish I could find that image again, if only as possible evidence that this is a fetish that has existed for a long time.

I only recently added vore to my list of fetishes, and I'm honestly surprised it happened. I've seen it before and it was just boring and unstimulating.

It wasn't until I happened upon a comic featuring a female dragon that was just murdering people left and right. The actual eating didn't interest me so much, moreso the idea of the person being eaten begging for life and then being digested. It's important that the person being eaten is being broken down and absorbed by the body of the person eating them; none of this "unbirthing" crap; someone needs to disappear otherwise I just can't get off. Hey, does anybody know of this one vore story, it had chapters, and the main character was a girl somewhere between 6 and 18 who was like princess of some magic castle or whatever, so every chapter was her venturing into the Monster Forest, and something catching her and eating her. every morning she'd respawn in her bed with full memory due to Teh Magicks.

The only other detail I can remember is in one chapter (3?), she's saved by a monster from a centaur, but it's getting late out, so she knows she can't make it back to the castle without getting caught and eaten anyways so she has the friendly centaur eat her, much to its confusion.

I know I read it something like 7 or 10 years ago, and I simply can't remember it's name or author now. Anybody know this story?

These panels don't crop very well, because you end up with clutter from speech bubbles and other parts of the scene. It might be better to alter the cropped part of the panel slightly to simplify it and remove elements that have been cut off.
