Yep, same thing with some others rpg makers games i have played.

Alone was fun and with a good amount of content (a release from december 2014, so there is more now)

Overwhored is fun, i mean, the dialogues and all thoses things are fun.

And the guys on hongfire (where the "Ultimate RPG Maker porn list" is) have some cool stuffs.

The Endless world is a rpg maker without a turn fight system and there is a lot of quest.

Aylia story (only demo is out ) seems good too. It has a custom fight system and armors changes are visualy affecting the character.

Quest fot booty only is a demo for now but the guy already incremented a full fishing, crafting, enchanting and crafting system. Porn is not good however. There is also a card fighting game as a mini game, with the NPCs fixing their owns rules.

Girls x Lusts and Supercreep are two others non fighting (for now) rpg maker in development.

Elysium is fun too.

If you're willing to go into spriting and create some custom assets RPG Maker has some amazing potential, but the standard RTP characters have been used by some many half-assed porn games at this point that they detract more than they add.

Injustice Update (1/3)

I've spent a little under a week with it lately but that doesn't add up to much. I've fixed some of problems that popped up in the last build. A lot of them are more deep seated with the update to Unity itself out dating libraries that the game has been running on. I use some plugins which I'm waiting on updates to fix most of these problems. I'm in contact regularly with the creators/devs and try not to duplicate what they are doing.

>The main bugs causing problems are the fade screen and tween systems. Screen fade timing on a lot of the bigger scenes has just become erratic. It's most noticeable on the main city where a lot of calculations occur. It's not a major issue but an annoying one that causes it to lag or fade in too soon and seem really jerky. There are locks on what you can click on until the calculations are complete but sometimes it fades too quick and seems like it's frozen.

>The tweening is the other one causing annoying problems. You'll notice it in the scenes with drag and drop objects or things moving around. I've noticed once or twice that the game has crashed if you're using text skip in certain places where it's tweening objects. The portraits aren't affected because they run on a newer tween library that wasn't effected. One thing that seems to cause it a lot is switching back and forth between costumes and then go back.

Injustice Update (2/3)

I have to say, art is a big deal. I would prefer no art to bad art, and I would prefer copied/stolen art to no art, so long as it gets in there. If there are visuals, then they inform the story, although the story/gameplay is certainly a part of it.

If I were a shitty artist with the skills to otherwise make a good game, I would make what I could as a demo and use that to attract artists to redraw everything before considering it a practical release.

Regarding development of a h-game, how important is it to integrate h-content into the gameplay? Do you prefer the h-content to be outside the game for the most part?

I'm trying to decide on how I'd like to have h-content implemented if I get far enough into the engine I'm working on to actually call it a game. The current plan is to have a main "story" mode, while having a sort of Arena mode off to the side where you actually view and unlock the h-scenes as an alternate character, the kinds of enemies you face relying on how far you've gotten into the story mode. You'd unlock scenes for certain enemies by passing waves, sort of like Amorphous+.

Honestly, if I download a H-game, ideally all of the game-play should be for the purpose of getting the player to the h-scene. There is nothing more shitty than rpg-maker games, or h-games that try to have combat systems and all this crap. They are tedious and amateurish at best. If you are making a h-game then people are downloading it simply to jerk off. Don't try to be overambitious in your goals and make some huge epic game with a large narrative and combat focused gameplay.

Basically, do everything you can to get the player to the h-scenes as soon as possible, with the minimum amount of story needed to gain some sort of player-interest.

i'm kind of in a toss up between prefering text + picture based games vs ones with animation.

If written properly text can feel really immersive and you can imagine yourself in that scene.

It (should) establish characters and their relationships, the overall point of the game, the mechanics to be used, and all that kind of stuff. Also, because we are dealing with games, there needs to be a level of interactivity that segregates it from regular porn. However, things like combat systems and most puzzles serve no purpose, other than to extend the game length, and even worse, damage the overall experience, because they are so detached from why people play porn games in the first place.

There are smart ways to design gameplay in H-games. I think that UrbanxLife game, despite the art, is a good example of decently-smart H-gameplay, done with a limited game-engine. Even smarter would be the Artificial Academy series, whose high degree of customization and player interaction allows us to fill in most of the blanks ourselves during gameplay, and lets us access what we came for relatively quickly.

I made a huge ranting blog post about this very topic a while ago, but here is the tl;dr:

If you can take out the porn, and have a game, it is not a porn game.

If you can take out the game, and have a porn, it is not a porn game.

These are symptomatic of what I like to call, Porn+Game or Game+Porn, wherein you take a game or a collection of porn and then arbitrarily staple a game/porn element on afterwards.

For example: all those Meet'n'Fuck "games" are just basically animation clips segmented by a bit of clicking. There is no gameplay, and the porn doesn't serve the gameplay at all.

On the other end, you have games like Kurovadis, where the porn is almost an after-thought, at least in regards to gameplay. The porn is there, but like a side attraction instead of part of the main element.

So I decided to play that Fleshcult game in the pastebin.
