I'm not just talking about straight in their source material, I mean literally in the game files they're not listed as lesbian or bisexual, yet they're still saying these things, and are attracted to males as well.

So last thread I made a shit tone of GR from Darkest Dungeon on the website version, before being told it wasn't compatible with what the game uses. You guys asked me to at least post the codes, so here. It's a big one.

It wouldn't be impossible to copy the numbers of everything and meticulously remake it in the website version, after all over half of these are just slight variations and all the different layers of clothing, but I'm not really all that motivated to do that right now. Here's hoping there's an easier way someone can figure out. I have a ton of dialogue too but I'll put a pin in that until I either find a way around this or just take the time to do it.

So the good news is that there actually is an offline version of v54.
The bad news is that the script used to create the images out of these codes does not seem to support v54.

So... I guess this isn't really good news at all, sorry. The only way might be to manually copy and paste every single thing by hand but that sounds like a nightmare.

Honestly I'd recommend just asking on the subreddit if there's an easier way. There's got to be I'm sure. I wouldn't want your character to go to waste especially since it looks like you worked really hard on it.

I've been (very slowly) making progress on Creepy Susie, myself. I made a ton of poses for each level of dress, besides masturbation and post-masturbation poses. But before I do any actual work on completing her, there's a few design choices I'm not 100% on.

For one, I don't know if her crooked posture translates well to kk and it's head-on-only posing. I decided to give her a /little/ skin tone instead of making her completely white, and I don't know if that was a good choice. And I don't know if I want her to remove her bow at any point. It's kind of iconic for her, and she wouldn't be really recognizable without it.

How do new characters go about making it into the actual game?

Case by case basis where the dev or devs swipe up the models and add dialogue to them? Or do the creators add them to the game themselves?

First comes the art. This is the part where 80% of people give up on and demand someone else do the rest for them. If you can make it past this part, then next up is dialogue. Or you can do dialogue before you make the art, whatever doesn't matter.

There's an entire template you have to fill out of every single dialogue possibility. This template can be found in the games files, although if you were to make a thread for your character on the subreddit someone might help make an etherpad for you which will have the template in it.

After you're done filling out the dialogue, next is to make all the poses and save each and every code. After that, you run a python script to generate the character's dialogue files, as well as creating the images for that character using the codes you saved. Once this is done, you have to upload your character onto gitlab, which it'll then usually be put on the testing tables for awhile to work out typos and bugs and such and then it'll be added to the main game.

If you want an in-depth tutorial as to how to make a character, go to the subreddit and under the "Strip Poker Night at the Inventory links" sticky there are links to tutorials on each step. Good luck though, it's a lot of work. Posing takes hours, and dialogue can take days depending on how much you want to work on it.

Forgot to mention, if you're completely lost and confused with the python script part or uploading to gitlab, you can usually just ask someone on the subreddit to do it for you. As long as you have all the pose codes and the dialogue, usually a mod will be happy to do the rest for you and add them to the game.

I don't have a clue what you're doing, but clearly it's not following directions. The hardest part is doing the art and poses and then coming up with lines for the dialogue. The actual handling of all that shit is easy as fuck. If you can't fill out the dialogue template then that's your fault. Making a character is a lot of work which is why people often collab in making them.

Oh, and what exactly do you mean by this? You shouldn't be copy and pasting any files. All you do is put all of your pose codes into one text file, then you run the python scripts to generate behavior, meta, and all the image files. The script literally does everything for you so I have no idea what you're referring to when you talk about copy and pasting hundreds of files.

If you're stuck on a step just say so and I can help walk you through it, but going on an angry rampage about the game because you don't understand it doesn't help you.

Okay so good(?) news. I tried importing the character into the offline version one more time. Turns out it works fine. Just that I hadn't realized before because for some reason you have to go through and change every single thing that's not default (as in put the bar up one pip or hide and unhide the selection etc.), then go back to where it originally was to actually see it on screen. Or maybe my game is just being weird because I had too use a wrapper to get it working and it crashes whenever I try to load or save something. Either way I guess that means the codes work fine. Sort of. Maybe.

What did you have in mind for dialogue? The individual classes have specific lines that could be altered to fit a strip poker setting but the most memorable DD lines are from the narrator.

Because of the way the tag system works. You're able to create certain lines tailored just towards people with those tags.

A good example of this is if you're playing with Elena or Weiss who have the "princess" tag, if there's a character with a line towards characters who have that tag, then they'll say it when they're playing with Elena or Weiss or Peach or whatever other princesses are in the game.

Yes and no. Lolis and real-life characters are the only ones strictly forbidden from being added to the online version because everyone on reddit is absolutely paranoid about getting v&, so certain redditors screech and wail whenever someone petite gets posted.

Did you start with the K-Ons or the Love Lives? The latter have better proportions, so I pretty much always start with them. Overall, I think she looks pretty good, though, don't adjust the bust.

Velma and Daphne aren't really BAD, and Xander is probably the best male character after Captain Falcon (which isn't saying much, since Falcon is the best by a country mile). Low quality/dialog should be the first to go, followed by joke characters. Moon is a damn shame since she had a ton of effort poured into her but her personality's a complete dumpster fire-- she should at least have the redundant poses and dialog trimmed and replaced with target/filter lines.

Basically, the issue is that GitLab gives them 10GB of space for the repo, but only 1GB of that can be hosted as a website.
