Question for people who've actually spent time with Unreal Engine:
Is creating a "mod" that alters the base function of the game possible without any "mod" tools? If I wanted to create either a working save system, a "scene" select, or maybe just a chapter select system for a game like Tails of Azeroth or Blue Is Better, which we all know will be broken forever, is this doable? To be honest, make what you want. If it is of relative quality and actually gets finished you will be better than 90% of makers out there (Though relative does not mean half baked, barely done)
Make a shorter game that is actually finished rather than a longer one which would take investment to complete. See games such as 'Raven Trainer' as an approximation of how long your first should be.
As for themes that appeal to large audiences, look at the most viewed cartoons, animu's and games and make a theme off one of the waifus. Obvious choices with few games combined with a relative fanbase would include Overwatch, Splatoon, Adventure Time etc.

pretty much what this guy says. A good way to do that is know how much content you can create on a monthly basis. Just work for a month at a comfortable but productive pace and try to do that amount every month. If you do that then you have a better start then most.

Also do a lot of learning and planning before you start developing. Take some time to practice ren'py or RPGmaker and get familiar with the tools. Ren'py is easy to start churning out code but it can very easily turn into a huge mess that will seem impossible to figure out where to add the next feature or chapter in your book.

I think the green/purity points are for unlocking most, if not all scenes.
The red/corruption points do offer an alternative path to getting some scenes. They may be required unlock some scenes, don't know about that one.

What I do know, though, is that the higher corruption they have the dirtier they will talk during scenes.

The problem with that approach is we're talking about a genre with next to no gameplay. Literally the only hook is the sex, right?

So the problem with THAT is that the scenes are really not that fappable by themselves; A plastic-looking, cow-titted stripper with cancer hair and terrible lighting stands intersecting with the 3d model of the author's self insert- usually that stupid fucking french looking prettyboy model.

So if you have no gameplay and your static 3D scenes are incredibly unrewarding as-is (nobody would just download these as a set and fap) literally the only appeal left is to get people invested. Make them work for the scene and they'll maybe, possibly see some value in it that's not there.

It's in their best interest to release 'game' updates with little to no new nudity. It's the only way they'll survive.
