You're given a pool of it that you can't change, but it's around 100 or so. It's used on Geonosis and Mandalore to find Hondo and the architect guy respectively. You can also spend 100 influence to buy stuff from Hondo when he's on the station. I wish Ex would have the quests and stats show up properly. And it's still too much of a pain to screw around with the galactic conflict screen.
