It is, but it takes a different direction than the base game. The original game was linear and you basically just had to go from job to job and get all of the scenes and that was that.
In this there are routes you get locked into, which is nice because it makes it feel slightly more believable than "oh, I got banged at this job, so now I'll go to this job and get banged some more."

I also like the addition of concepts, such as the fiance's friend and the fiance's son getting routes. Not too thrilled about the fiance's father, but as long as it doesn't hijack the fiance's son's route, I don't care.

I waited an update or two to play Four Elements Trainer again, and I'm just curious if I'm wrong here, but isn't the love route 100 times better than the enslavement route in the firebender story?

Enslavement route is basically the same as the water tribe stuff(do these escalating tasks 1 to 3), while the love route has an actual decent story, some adventure game style stuff, and a completely different map. Seems really lopsided.

Alright, thanks. Yeah, I've noticed if you're not careful you can hit a wall at the part with the tentacle Wall monsters that can one shot you with that Wave spell. The trick is to just power level on those Eyeball mobs just before that room until you can tank the hit, or have enough speed to go before them to one shot them. After that it's basically cake, you rarely run into anything compatibly hard as long as you dump almost all of your levels into Mana and Magical Attack Damage or whatever. I hit Max level just before the Demon area with purple acid or whatever on the ground.

Ah, I guess I was a bit unclear in one instruction.
You need to open the 00console.rpy file that is in the renpy/common folder that is inside of Summertime Saga folder and make that change. Make sure it reads exactly as "config.console = false" as there are a few similar lines inside.
After that, you simply need to run the game as you would normally and then use Shift + O.
If you did it correctly, you should be able to open the console in SS.
