wakfu/dofus is based on a game with amazing worldbuilding. Same applies to the shows too. It has nice animation, interesting character designs, and main storyline is pretty great. The are a lot of filler episodes though, but those lets you in on the world so that isn't all that bad either. To summarise, it's one of the shows that has fandoms not because they have waifus, but because they're actually good.

It kind of looks like it was made by doing 3D models to get the general character poses, then drawing over them. Is that right? I used to play Dofus way before the Wakfu animation was a thing. It's a pretty fun game with good art assets. Sexy art assets. But yeah, it's grindy. Also it's not so fun to play alone - it's supposed to act as an RPG. If you have a bunch of friends to play with you it's much more effective and fun, as each different player takes upon a different role during combat. The main game's aspect - combat, is also pretty cool on it's own, it's like playing heroes of Might and Magic.

overall, it's recommended if you want to get to now more about the World of Twelve and it's lore, races and other shit. I would say even leveling up to some decent level isn't necessary to enjoy the game.

You can't improve on what's already there, generic elf races. One has tattoos/blood on them, one has a bow, etc. They're still identifiable as elf-ish. If someone not familiar with the franchise saw pictures of them, they'd refer to them as 'elves'. There's nothing overly unique about Ankama's artists, other than mixing French and Japanese artstyles.

I think the problem is, you, much like a lot of other fans, just want the same Iop/Cra characters from the show and nothing else. Then /trash/ pitches in with Miranda pictures.

I've seen more people complain about Eva and Tristepin in particular. Iops and Cras in general feel more bland than the rest of the game/show/series, though, as that's kinda their point, I guess, as they're the standard, "anyone can recognize this type of character" thing.

In my own opinion, I think Tristepin and Eva together in anything is pretty dull as I've grown to dislike their characters, but them with different pairings can be fun, depending on the opposite character. Overall, again, personally, I'd rather see more of the side characters who haven't really had their dues, really. Elaine, Maude, the Princesses from episode 4 or 5, Alia, Kriss, etc. I feel too many are overlooked for the more boring, flat designs of Tristepin, Eva, Adale, Armand, etc.

Eh, I have an easy time differentiating between the classes due to how into the franchise I was, but they're definitely meant to be more of intro-to-the-series type characters, like how Soldier 76 is to Overwatch. Iops are probably the most generic imo, really, as they're just your standard knight types with few options in terms of armor/design/etc. Cras are a little better off, but not too much. When it comes to porn, they have little going for them, while other classes stand out a bit more, like Sadidas with skin and hair color, Sacriers with tattoos, etc.

I was into games WAYYYYY before the Wakfu series first aired. I was in love with it. The world design, the races, the artstyle... I don't agree the characters are any bit generic cuz if the fanart is done right (by either making it on-model and/or applying their attributes) you can easily identify that the characters displayed are from wakfu/dofus. I don't really see the problem with that, again, there's plenty of in-show characters, Wakfu or Dofus, that haven't really gotten much attention. It's sorta like there's been two extremes, where on one end, it's nothing but the most generic Wakfu content (Eva/Cra, Tristepin/Iops, Adale, actual OCs, etc.), on the other you have random characters even in-depth fans of the series might not recognize (the seemingly random Eliatropes, the fucking EliOtropes that are still a stupid idea to this day, the other, almost non-Ankama looking characters I can't even name). There's some middle ground, but most porn for Wakfu tends to fall into one of those categories, it seems.

This all also (probably) has to do with artist/art style, which, speaking personally again, I think Kenno's run his course and most of his recent pieces are majorly unappealing for some reason. Dunno if he's bored with the commissions or if it's the ideas behind them or what, but that's just my opinion/observation.

I was a big fan and still am in terms of technique, but the way he's progressed just became unappealing. He went from doing elaborate commissions that took weeks, to just drawing sketch commissions in-between his web comics, then stopped doing any kind of same-sex content beyond Patreon supporters and finally upped the pricing on sketches to the same as monthly Patreon. And his use of color choices and character expressions just started to become more subdued, like he really was tiring out in the last year or so.

The general sketchiness of the later pieces he's done are mostly what I was referring to. I get that's simple/easy and people go for that, but most of it ends up looking a bit rough as a result, especially if it's one of those "x-ray" type images. Not to mention his weird "anti-gay" thing from a while back, dunno if he's still sticking to it, but he stopped taking girl/girl and maybe guy/guy pairings for whatever reason.
