A face looks more like this, anon. The eyes are about at the middle of the face, not at the top, and even the most anime of noses is much lower than that on the face. The chin was also far too angular, so I smoothed it out just a little bit. This is all very basic stuff, don't think of me as a true artist giving a complex critique.

One other thing: Lay the fuck off the crosshatching. At a certain point it stops adding detail and texture and simply muddies up the linework.

I knew a friend who made comics for years in a style she hated because it was the popular one, and she was completely miserable. Sometimes money and popularity ain't everything.

I think thats a lot of it. He tries all these different things and never really finishes anything but his drawings. Every time he talks about working on one of his characters 3D model I just groan in frustrating as I know he's been working on that for over a decade and has barely anything to show for it.

Then he made this Patreon and he'll often go many multiple weeks with nothing, and then when he does finally post something its not what most of his fans want.

I've supported his Patreon for months (over a year I think) mostly because I just really like that ONE GOD DAMNED PINUP EVERY 1-3 MONTHS.

Really, I think that if you're going to do this big fan thing like Patreon, be prepared to actually make things for your fans. Not continually constantly, and frustratingly ignore them at every turn.
