I haven't written about the concept in a while, but have I thought more about scenarios and the timespan of how the story would work. (12 months, from May to April.)
I actually was just getting back into both a Ranma and a writing mood in the last week.


Last time, I had a clear vision of a scene shortly after Ranma's condition goes public wherein Ranma confesses his/her respect of Ryoga out of his treatment being the same whether male or female, leading into the first pangs of romantic feelings Ranma develops; followed by a month of denial/showcasing manhood as a method of hiding feelings.

I recently thought what would function as a nice contrast, is Ryoga having a contrasting emotional arc where he's starting to have trouble with thinking of Ranma as a boy, creating guilt in how Ranma views him. Of course, this arc would occur with him getting lost/being out of town for the month, so neither character knows what the other feels about that conversation.
By the time Ranma is considering telling Ryoga that s/he's okay with him thinking of her as female, Ryoga affirms to him that he will treat Ranma as a boy like he always has, thus burying both their true feelings on the matter in an effort to support what they think the other would want.

In the meantime, check out this commission WIP I recently got back from Galsia-toybox.
I want to commish more art of scenarios this summer (especially a piece with Ranma and Ryoga interacting), and am making longterm goals to push myself to write full prose rather than mere idea dumps.

If you're going to do a retroactive TG on the player, you could set the premise up as a guy playing a game with a male character which is a pretty blatant self-insert. He sets off a gender change trap, but this actually has no effect on the character - instead the player is now a girl, complaining about how her (still male) character just got tged.
Optionally pan to the lazy god/goddess who finds it easier to change the players than to code accurate avatar tgs into the game.

>As Jack enter the palace and the gates are closed, a tiny hooded figure is too late to warm Jack.

>Inside the building, the king offer Jack food, dancers and music. Jack can't stop but but notice the volumptous Slave Girls of the Harem. The king starts a friendly conversation with Jack, while he is slowly overwhelmed by the scent of the incenses, and enters into a trance.
>The slave girls take him away to the bath houses, where they strip him, take his sword away and bathe him in the middle of mystical chants.
