Customers decide what price point they are comfortable buying at, they hold the power, but if everyone wants slave-wages there will be few people to choose from.

I don't trace. Do use references every once in awhile for a pose, also use references for clothes too. (But this really isn't uncommon)
I think my biggest problem when drawing digital is staying with a constant style. Cause I don't really have that problem with hand drawn stuff.
