Upon further thought I feel like deal born can come in two flavors, the failed and the succeeded, the failed are turned into Unwilling, lost souls, maggots and other demons below imps on the totem pole, then there are the fulfilled, those who accomplished their end of the bargain, getting turned into higher tier demons like Masterminds, Maledicts and Balgors, now now all demons of those are dealborn, many having just risen up thr ranks the hard way, but they tend to be distinct from hellborn demons

I can't think of anything where Hell is more like some kind of a dark void. Check out Phobos: Anomaly Reborn, though. There are no Hell levels in there, but it's very dark and cavernous in the latter half and overall probably the most technologically advanced Boom-compatible map pack ever. Oh, right. So let me get this straight: QZDoom is basically ZDoom, originally just with added true color support, now it's the contiunation of it since Randy ceased the development of ZDoom. I heard they want to merge the two projects together in the future, though.
