I'm gonna be repeting myself, but the little /co/ thread is archived (I posted some art for those of you who couldn't see it in time >>1221450 ). Hope it can help :
As mentioned, there is a third volume called 'Amen' But since Tamburini ODed in the late 80s, Ranx got stopped. It is Alain Chabat (big fan, and had worked with the artist for some movies publicity) who got Liberatore back on the beast for this last story.
What I storytimed yesterday was in my opinion the very best of Ranx, those two arcs.
The first b&w stories were published in Cannibale, but Ranx got up in Frigidaire (italian), L'Echo des savanes (french), and Heavy Metal (American version of the successful 'Métal Hurlant' from France). You can easily find italian and french versions of some other comics both did (I say both, but it was a group of five who got Cannibale up, and many other things —see picture for names)
I'll translate a few pages (settled for the birth of ranx, since it's also a late ranx story, and the art is full Liberatore) along with doing Amen sometime during week.
There's some Liberatore art books (like Liberatore's women in english) If it's the art you dig the most.
Else, I'll suggest you look up those italians fellows and get a grip of issues of Cannibale, and if not already done, all of the greatness from Métal Hurlant -Druillet, Moebius, Corben, Gal, Bilal, etc. not too much up on what exactly was in Heavy Metal. If you want to check L'Echo des savanes, do it too, it was founded by Gotlib, Mandryka and Bretécher (alike MH, authors drifting from Pilote, the Goscinny magazine, to do awesome shit !...). More on the comic/psyche and then erotic side, Ranx being published there because of a new owner.

If I storytime something else than Ranx, It'll be Druillet first. Big fan too. Maybe 'La Nuit' to keep on the cyberpunk.
