SUMMERTIME SAGA INITIAL BUG TESTING BUILD IS OUT NIGGAS
reminder that this poster is one of these faggots
No it isn't.
This guy used mikes models. Mike is a fucking complete retard and refuses to use his models for porn. He is literally cancer.
Wow, the second you realize Manyakisart and Mike Inel are the same guy your head is going to fucking pop.
I wish you had a mike hooked up and recording so I could hear it.
lol are you arizona? get out of here and finish your shit
>you claimed those are form the game and they aren't
Are you completely insane?
1. They are the models from his game, where else would they be from?
2. I specifically said the animations WEREN'T in the game.
Get out of the thread, retard.
>1. They are the models from his game, where else would they be from?
>2. I specifically said the animations WEREN'T in the game.
>It's a wip shot from mike inel's development on his adventure time game.
This implies that they're going to be for and in the game.
They aren't. Ever. Retard.
>This implies that they're going to be for and in the game.
>literally every design and animation created during development is "going to be for and in the game."
Oh, you're just regular-type stupid.
>I can't admit that I said something that was wrong reeeeeeeeeee
Get fucked dumbfuck. I didn't make you post something that was wrong, you did that out of your own complete stupidity.
>looking for hookers in January, which is the annual catch-a-john month
Why would you be mad at me when you fucked up and claimed several things that weren't try like how those animations were from his game and that I said that other guy was stealing them? Why are you lying so much anon?
So, art assets in games. Obviously high quality drawings are preferable, but I see several games that use screencaps of 3d models. This of course allows for the creation of scenes much faster than by drawing, but raises some quality issues.
Could it be done with 3d models of sufficient quality? Or is 2d always going to be superior? Why don't the devs that use 3d models add animations to their games? Is it because they suck so hard with the software that they can't make something even remotely passable?
>those animations were from his game
Lol no. I said the animations were from the development of the game. I specifically said they WEREN'T in the game. Wrong again, fucko.
Long passed time you left.
>>>It's a wip shot from mike inel's development on his adventure time game.
>From development on his game
You implied that those are for his game. You were wrong. Why are you so assblasted that you can't admit it? Are you an autist anon?
>You implied that those are for his game.
No, you inferred that. I said EXACTLY what those images are. You're the one getting this wrong again and again.
Time for you to go and stay go.
No you implied it you see.
>>>It's a wip shot from mike inel's development on his adventure time game.
This post implies that.
You can tell from the words in it. Espeically the part where it says from.
Why are you so mad that you made a mistake anon?
You're having a mental breakdown. I don't need to "imply" jackshit. I said EXACTLY where these images came from and who made them.
You're the one making the same mistake over and over. That's probably quite maddening for you. :^)
>he's just discovering that while normal people just come here to jack off, others take themselves quite seriously
Have you NEVER witnessed this phenomenon in any porn site with comments?
RIP Ghost Vagina, we knew you well before the giant humanoid dick killed you.
>I can't imagine anyone sane giving a shit about what a handful of NEETs on 4chan have to say on any subject.
here's the thing though, and i say this as someone that's currently making a game: the majority of your fans are not vocal for whatever reason, maybe they're ashamed, maybe they don't want others to know they play porn games, whatever. when all that remains are the people on board like /weg/ being vocal it's incredibly demoralizing since it appears that very few give a shit about your game.
my follower count goes up everyday yet it's the same handful of people that bother to give me feedback or respond to me.
back to patreon faggot, we know who you are
Your Ditto ate someone, HW. I thought FF didn't have vore?
>when all that remains are the people on board like /weg/ being vocal it's incredibly demoralizing
Post on other boards then. /weg/ is what, a couple dozen regulars at most? And who knows how many are samefagging or phone/proxing. This entire thread could be six guys all arguing with themselves about how hard it is waiting around for the porn they hate.
>my follower count goes up everyday
That should literally be your only concern. Money talks and bullshit walks.
And like you, /weg/ has several other wannabe devs, some are going to want to shit on anyone getting any attention or praise out of sheer jealously/spite.
Stay sane, don't give a shit what this handful of NEETs have to say on any subject.
I FUCKING HATE ARIZONA IDENTITIES FUCK YOU YOU CROATIAN PIECE OF SHIT
I really want to like it, but the narrative is too 'all over the place' and the town is lifeless and a chore to walk across. Also, bugs.
They could have done a lot better with it.
>they plan on making 5 games use the same city.
Yeah, I've read that. It seems incredibly lazy, but I can see the developer appeal, make the city maps once and be done with it.
Except as the player, I'm the one that has to schlep across the damn thing. With no reactive NPCs and very little events (the molester), it's just tedious.
Games like Salvation and Ariadne do this MUCH better. With new outfits/corruption, the NPCs have vastly different reactions to the player and the whole point of the games is triggering events by walking around town.
In Fleeting Iris, they might as well ask you at the MC's home's front door "where do you want to go?"
Really feels like it's that big to pad out the game and add a boring timesink.
After he releases promised update discussion will die out.
They should take a page from Megaman Battle Network. You were in the same general city almost all the games, but the various areas you could visit were blocked off depending on the game.
these faggots are still shilling...
you aint getting a fucking cent from DC, look at yourself in the mirror
Don't shoot the scavenger.
>the game will feature fetishes such as mind control
Thanks. Probably only game from western dev which can compete with japanese games of same genre. I was kinda disappointed to learn that characters portraits are not drawn by him but come from rarely used rpgmaker dls pack tho.
Even at 0.1d it was already better than whole overwhored.
Yeah I hate free roaming when there's no map, you can only see a tiny part of the area at once and you need to check every inch of the game to find something and there's no clear objective
I kind of like it. It reads like one of those old, pulpy detective novels
DC Finished drawing Maria and Tony (Pizza couple). Posted on Patreon for those that missed the stream.
So, in The Twist, I think I've reached the limit of what I can do with the sister but, unlike with the mother, I'm not getting the "Thats everything in this version" message for some scenes so I'm not too sure if I've exhausted all there is.
Four scenes I'm aware of:
1: Couch scene. I can feel her tits but there's no more relationship points and no "Thats all folks" message.
2: Dining room talk. Hit the limit on that pretty quick.
3: Bathroom scene. Again, I've got the message and no more points.
4: Pool scene. Absolutely no progress here. She doesn't want to talk. This and the couch are the ones I think there's more too, but am not sure.
Does anyone know of any other things I can do to raise her score? I've got her at 90 now.
>Some of the best porn games out there are RPG maker
That has nothing to do with what I said, you can be angry and piss in people's cereal all you want without obsessing yourselves with what is essentially a shitty visual novel with the world's worst case of prosopagnosia
>you dislike what I like? well instead of coming up with a counter argument just tell me what you like so I can insult that instead
You should take up a debate class. However for the sake of the argument I'm just gonna say Dating Ariane, which is the apex of western erotic games.
>It has the most potential of all the games talked about here.
>I was kinda disappointed to learn that characters portraits are not drawn by him but come from rarely used rpgmaker dls pack tho.
You sincerely believed an RPGmaker """""dev""""" would not jump at the chance to use premade assets for literally everything possible.
Is that what you're saying?
>guy gets hired to do "fuck your mother" simulator
>guy gets the money, shits on release
>gets busy fucking bitches and spending money
>artist still creates updates but they aren't shipping due to the dev
>keep saying "oh, school problems" without actually talking with him and make a fixed date
what is wrong with devs these days?
Serious answer: You *can* get good results from DS and its stock models, but you need to have actual experience using them and giving them believable appearances which do not all look identical. In other words, get premade characters for those figures.
Second, spend at least SOME time learning what 3 point lighting is and how to set it up, instead of that ghastly "fluorescent ambient" lighting that resembles no known environment.
This is realistically going to take you a few weeks of work and practice. But then, you're still convinced learning to draw takes longer, aren't you?
I think the better question is how many thousands are even available. So you happen to use assets that are better than what everyone else uses. Now what? Do you think the assets are good enough to pull in a new wave of patrons willing to shit money at you? Or will you just happen to convince a few who are already paying others to just switch to you?
The answer to that question is how much is actually available for you to absorb.
>guy shitposts on 4chan for zero (0) dollars
>expects everyone to agree with him
>samefags when they don't
Pic related, actual dev fuckery
>And porn things don't count.
why wouldn't they
haha I'll never fucking support him now. I was considering giving him 10 shekels when he finished, like I do most devs, but he can eat shit now.
I'll just give Hreinn/Cypress Jew more shekels since they're the only ones that don't bite the hand that feeds (to my knowledge).
I haven't worked with Source Film Maker before, but it is an alluring idea.
I'm well aware of the need for experience in regards to 3D work. Though I'm a bit rusty at this point I do have a fair bit of experience under my belt. This opens the possibility of using that experience for financial gain.
Advertisement within similar circles to other successful patreons would be crucial. It isn't necessarily a matter of stealing their patrons, but of getting their patrons to throw shekels at me. A person can support multiple devs at a time after all.
and naa, why should I pay some mother fucker ~200$ for a shitty porn gam when AAA titles like TW3 are 60$ (100$ w/dlc).
Learn your place kiddo. What they make is worth maybe 20$ if it's really well made.
Just because they're inefficient as fuck and intentionally taking forever to make games so they can milk more money out of you fucking losers doesn't mean jack fuck to me.
I've given Hreinn 30$ when they completed NN, and I gave the roundscape devs 20$ before they fucked the game up with the new engine.
Those are just the recent ones in my memory. IIRC I've "donated" to Opala's dev and Cypress Jew previously too.
The faces could use some work there, imo.
As for the profits, this project seems to have started on the 4th. My guess is that this bomber fellow hasn't done much to raise awareness of the project.
In any case, I think I'll explore sfm as an alternative to my current methods. G'night.
>Cypress Jew more shekels since they're the only ones that don't bite the hand that feeds (to my knowledge).
>literally previous thread
Monster Girl Island = $17k/month. Good 3D would rake in the shekels. Redamz doesn't even need to do more than a demo a year to get that either. Post a few animations, release a short demo each year, 17k x 12, live the good life.
>Though I'm a bit rusty at this point I do have a fair bit of experience under my belt.
You might find a small learning curve converting textures for Firefly/3Delight to PBRs like Superfly/Iray. The $30 or so it costs to buy Reality and let it do the heavy lifting converting materials for Luxrender isn't a bad investment.
I'll keep that in mind, texture work was always my weak point. The rigging and animation though, god damn. I don't often get a chance to brag so I'm fucking taking it here, my hand made animations have fooled motion capture professors into thinking they were mo-cap on two separate occasions.
you have never submitted a portfolio
studios don't look for cartoon art of any kind, they want anatomical studies and dynamism, they EXPECT you to imitate house style without needing demonstrations of it
You are that tard who always chimes in that porn ruins artists' chances but has literally no experience or even anecdotes to back it up
This is the part where you huff and say "well it's common sense"
Rebecca Sugar got to showrun SU while everyone in the industry knew she was drawing porn of Ed, Edd and Eddy. Archie Comics hired Gisele Lagace who was in the middle of drawing an ecchi webcomic in the same fusion style she draws Betty and Veronica.
Get a fucking clue
>My guess is that this bomber fellow hasn't done much to raise awareness of the project.
On contrary he bitched on 2ch.hk(he's russian ofcourse:^) that he spammed all popular adult games sites.
I don't follow every thread, but if that's the shit he wants to say then I don't need to give him money either. I won't support someone that doesn't listen to feedback from their consumers and it's that simple.
If he wants to remain hardheaded even though the voice acting honestly sounds like shit then that's on him. At this point I'm pretty sure it's a pride thing for him to not get rid of it.
>texture work was always my weak point
I literally took an entire week off from work and pored over good figure skins until I could make them myself. Major pain in the ass but it was worth it. Protip: the current version of Photoshop can read .OBJ files and lets you texture paint either the figure or the flattened UVs or both, splits out diffuse/specular/bump into their own maps, and can export each. If you already have a specialized tool for that, use it instead, but it's always an option.
Also just to point out, I think he's fine with his prices as he gives his games out for free. He can charge/have stretch goals/do whatever the fuck he wants in that regards. His final products are always free so I have no opinion regarding his billing practices and nor should anyone else as it literally doesn't affect you.
The refusal to listen to his consumers about his product is just annoying though.
All you see in the threads is hate for all the games, and there are a lot of squeaky wheels that seem to be forced to play these games. You will have to give it a go and see if you like it. Don't think it's the worst game out there, still a little content lite though.
>RAGS version is much better though
OH GOD MY EYES ARE BLEEDING AGAIN
So anon who was making this list is gone?
It's like i supposed to make this list myself gosh.
>The refusal to listen to his consumers about his product is just annoying though.
For a guy making his first VN with unbelievably low goals in mind, it's disappointing. Insisting that paths in an eroge are a stretch goal is just arrogant.
That's exactly what I'm saying. The guy who got the degree, then worked for studios actually has experience churning out art for hire because someone needed art assets. SS has potential because it's got the one artist who behind the inspiration to make cartoon porn actually has the patience to churn out shit because his porn game needs art assets.
With the exception of Noxian Nights that's true of everything Sierra Lee has worked on, and even then NN only doesn't meet that qualifier because they were working from a pre-existing franchise.
The idea of it is good and it has potential, but there isn't enough to it right now just like everything else. The grind is also unbearable and that's with parts of the grind not implemented yet so it's only going to get grindier.
>make a somewhat engaging story but have no idea how to make an even remotely engaging game
It's odd, but I usually find myself wishing these people would just make comics/animations instead of games if they can't figure it out.
Having appealing art and a compelling story is enough for stand alone work. Slapping those things into a mediocre game is actually lowering their value.
But there's money on the table for mediocre games, so it's no use telling them that.
>What about Ouroboros?
What about it?
Made it so that clothing can be lost, it changes the way you fight monsters until you get them back.
This is the one by the creator of tales of the drunken cowboy. IMO that was the best Rags erotic game I've played. By the late parts of that game the dev was using the Shitty rags system to do some fairly creative things. I'm looking forward to this one once it gets a bit more done to it. The dev also has a really strong record of progress communication and they could have gone patreon much earlier with TODC's popularity but held off.
Makes me sad to see them getting undervalued by some anons. Only thing this dev doesn't do themselves is art, hopefully they've got a plan for commissions down the line.
Redamz is a one man show, no division needed for staff. Yes, Patreon fees would come out and taxes. We are talking about $151,000 a year. That's living a pretty damn good life, even after taxes and Patreon fees (which are around 5-7% I believe).
>Stop criticising devs of unfinished mini porn games with barely any porn content, that gets paid around 10000 monthly without delivering anything for months!
Am I the only one that thinks that the people posting these are the ones that made those comments in the picture themself? in order to get reactions from us?
You're right, it's something people were asking about since the first build.
I'm considering two different ways of getting them back, one is to use the heal command, second is to create a new item that will repair them. Since it's so easy to lose them right now I'll try out the first option to start.
>I am not now - nor will I ever - be getting rid of the very standard practice of stretch goals. Nor will I get rid of voice acting.
>Anyone offended by that should never give me money and I'll be happy that you don't! Then you may feel satisfied you are a wise consumer, as my games are free and you'll get to play and complain about them anyway. Just don't expect me to care about your opinions.
I don't have a problem with stretch goals at all.
I have a big problem with him thinking that writing more than one route for a visual novel that isn't explicitly a kinetic novel is a burden he should be paid more for, esp. for his first VN.
I don't give a fuck about the voice thing.
as far as i see it you are not playin 0.3C version...you should be able to fuck mom, amongst other things. With mom there should be a pool scene to get you over 50 relationship or something like that
Maybe add repair/sew skill instead?
Also think about rebalancing.
Almost never used uppercut except for boss fights
Yell seemed useless too ie even after using it three times didn't noticed that much difference to justify using it
Weapons are flat out useless
Steel panties being one time use items was annoying, especially then you have vines and slimes/jellies close to each others, make them stackable atleast or make them have durability like weapons
Berries 3 turns str raise doesn't justify using slot, more turns?
Make mushrooms stackable/more turns too
Also more floors:^)
>I don't care that much when people complain about this or that.
>Just don't expect me to care about your opinions.
>Maybe add repair/sew skill instead?
Basically gonna combine that with heal and see how that goes.
>Almost never used uppercut except for boss fights
It is a pretty situational move that's only useful in long fights, I'm thinking it will be useful later on when enemies get harder.
>Yell seemed useless too ie even after using it three times didn't noticed that much difference to justify using it
I'm buffing yell in the next build so the defense down is more powerful, the other LP skills are getting overhauled too since it was annoying using taunt to only dump LP
>Weapons are flat out useless
They just increase your base attack, not enough?
>Steel panties being one time use items was annoying, especially then you have vines and slimes/jellies close to each others, make them stackable atleast or make them have durability like weapons
Yeah I'll likely make them stack just like the other items
>Berries 3 turns str raise doesn't justify using slot, more turns?
Well you can combine them with a weapon and it's a pretty big increase, even more if you're in attack stance
>Make mushrooms stackable/more turns too
How many turns do you think they should last? Good idea on making items stack, I considered it and worried it would make them too good, but it's worth a try.
>Also more floors:^)
I've tried to play various porn games that require typing actions and I just can't do it. Typing 1handed is a pain in the ass, and when having to guess the syntax getting it wrong several times in a row kills the mood.
>They just increase your base attack, not enough?
Buff is not that big for low durability they have. More dur or more atk, or make whetstones add durabilty instead of just restoring it.
>Well you can combine them with a weapon and it's a pretty big increase, even more if you're in attack stance
Still with only 5 slots i didn't found them useful enough, will see how it works with stackable items.
>How many turns do you think they should last?
I basically only used mushrooms in last boss fight to heal confuse, and he always used Breath after status protection already wore off. So not sure, 10 turns? Or as you make items stackable leave it as it is for time being.
Keep up good work.
Awesome thanks for the feedback. I'll try out making items stack when used for the next build. I can also try increasing weapon durability, I just have to find the right balance or players may end up with lots of weapons in their item slots due to them lasting longer.
The gameplay is pretty decent, and even without the codes there is a lot of action you can get to. The graphics are absolute cancer, if you can get past them there is a game underneath.
>so so sex scenes
>shitty porn tier story
Just goes to show how barren western porn games scene is.
I'ma level with you, I couldn't give less of a shit what it's based off of.
This general likes the art in Summertime Saga, compared to which NN looks fucking brilliant
>so so sex scenes
I mean, no. Unless you don't like tentacles, but even then there's a lot without that.
>shitty porn tier story
Name 3 games around here that have good stories.
Since when is rpgmaker a bad thing?
>attaching that image to try to drive home your smug
How about you attach some actual opinions next time instead of regurgitating shit you've heard before
stop posting this shit DC, id rather talk about other games. If they dont release in the next two days just unsubscribe from patreon and ignore the SS posts until janitors clean up the games spam
>Since when is rpgmaker a bad thing?
If you played atleast 10 rpgmakers games you played them all.
It's about gameplay being same old tired shit with same mechanics.
Some try to spice it up, but i only saw Three Kingdoms Tales (only in russian) to make it kinda interesting.
Im glad CC is drawing, im happy enough with his art, its the coding dilemma that pisses me off, i want to support a game, not donate to a lazy coder. The discord thats getting prissy needs to understand thats the issue, we dont sit in that DC talking to them all day, we only know we are paying for a game that for all we know, is just a money vacuum, and at 5k a month its a little sickening you cant prioritize the coding over CS:, when its obvious you shouldnt have time between coding and homework
Some of them try to force the combat on you more than they should, but NN had the game over rape scenes to help spice it up.
We're getting stuck in opinions, but Summertime's art makes everyone look like they're middle aged, which is just objectively poorly done.
Well, I've never tried those, but maybe I will sometime. My point is story is pretty low on the list of importance for most devs and players.
>How about you attach some actual opinions next time instead of regurgitating shit you've heard before
Excuse me? All those points are my opinion, i still like NN, it's very fappable game and that's only metric i use for porn games.
But calling it the best (porn) game? That's a bit too much.
>I couldn't give less of a shit what it's based off of.
Well good for you, but fact that they chose this setting shows that they clearly wanted LoL fanbase monies, just like those others who make games about LoL/Dota.
And that's terrible and brings that game down.
You're making assumptions based off people you've never met or know anything about, NN could just be fanfiction gone big, not an attempt to get money from LoL fans. Even if it is though, I don't let meta bullshit interrupt my enjoyment of a game.
Except that's not how it's used around here. Context is a bitch, ain't it?
nothing contemporary is classic, as to be classic is to stand the test of time. should I just call you Falstaff and we can both pretend the curriculum of the average student sufficeable?
Sierra isn't into fondling your balls with build-up or any slow-burn bullshit to get you off.
>ooooh mom is showering
>ooooh I'm fondling mom while she's sleeping
>ooooh I got mom to jerk me off out of pity
>ooooh I drugged mom's drink and fucked her silly.
Tons of creators are starting to see the value in not treating sex and general taboos like they're 'naughty'. Some of the "adult" comics coming out nowadays are legitimately GOOD, rather than wankfodder.
People often ask: "Why is it ok to watch someone's head blown off in a Hollywood movie, but whenever someone gets raped, a kid gets molested, blood relations have sex or even a hard dick hits the screen suddenly it's "vulgar"?
Shit like Sierra makes is the answer: There fucking is no reason.
Yeah, i guess the guy who got a job on Angry Beavers after doing hyper-inflation porn, that was a useless job for him, huh?
Or the artist for Batman:TAS, after he did porn too?
Yep, totally useless.
>Sierra isn't into fondling your balls with build-up or any slow-burn bullshit to get you off.
Still too slow
Renryuu Ascension did it better.
Everything I'm working on has at least one artist who did/does art for a full time job/source of income, and it wasn't porn, for starters. (Rtil worked on Skullgirls, for example, and is on both Future Fragments and Internal Interrogation.)
ViperV was doing stuff for SFW content as well for years, and I believe Eromancer was as well, but I'm sure there has to be tons of others, there's no way it's just those few examples.
Story doesn't have to be low on the list. Did a few polls over time and story is more important to the Patrons on the Future Fragments Patreon moreso than gameplay even, if the polls are to be believed, and like the above, I know storyline isn't that low of importance to everyone making h-games (or playing them).
Speaking of which, picture is of Rtil's WIP/sketch designs for the grey mage in Internal Interrogation.
>Did a few polls over time and story is more important to the Patrons on the Future Fragments Patreon moreso than gameplay even
I do get what you're saying with this, and I do agree; we're not about to give everyone in the game size DDD tits or something just because people say they want it.
More of my point was that these people have been pledging continually for months, and have explicitly said in comments/polls that they "pledged for the storyline because it interested them"; they don't gain anything from lying about this, and if they truly didn't like the storyline, they would have everything to lose by telling us to emphasize it.
In a normal marketplace with things like Coke and such in the link, yeah, this definitely applies, but with Patreon where 1 on 1 conversations can happen and people are giving monthly money, it changes things a bit.
I feel like characters/their interactions are intertwined with story for me, at least, i.e. without good characters/interactions, you don't have a good story, and vice versa, so we definitely plan to have both.
Picture is of one of the GUIs in progress for Reclaim Reality.
Well, it is true that characters usually find definition through events of a story, but such can be achieved through personal struggles, rather than an overarching plot. Both are perfectly fine ways to write characters, but I don't believe that a story is absolutely necessary to develop strong and likeable characters.
I'm not here to down on you or anything, It's just common knowledge that people generally don't know what they want until you give it to them.
There's also a lot of subjectivity to it. "Story" is kinda oversimplifying things. Do they want conflict or drama? Or maybe they just want things to be believable? Do they want some sort of epic journey, or something that makes them question who they are?
Maybe they just want it to be spontaneous.
anyone else has a problem launching the new sissy maker release?
I would include "overarching plot" as "personal struggles" as well; for that character, in their mind, their personal struggles *are* their "overarching plot". The goal is to get the reader to empathize with the character so much that they do feel engrossed by the character's personal struggles, as well as the overarching plot externally that affects thier personal struggles and the world around them.
I definitely agree on this; that's why I try to be as precise/clear as possible when I'm doing these polls/feedback things, and giving people multiple examples/alterations in each demo to look back on, choices, etc.
I do in fact even list things like "do you want more comedy, more drama, more romance, more violence" etc. as well as "do you want realism or fantasy, do you mind 4th wall stuff, do you want lots of choices or less choices", the polls are pretty extensive :P
I fit all three of those gametypes, to some degree/in some way, in Reclaim Reality and Future Fragments, so that's a good start then I guess!
Customization I got in there in terms of powerups in FF, no real customization in the other two though unfortunately. FF/II have animation, RR has it in the boss battles. Influence is in all three, as is story of course.
FF is Sci-Fi/Fantasy, II is Fantasy, RR is Sci-Fi/Modern Day, so that's good...
...but the part about "action games" being the least desireable I find funny, as some of the top sellers on DLSite and many other places are action games.
GIF is the powerup menu from Future Fragments, WIP.
The way we split money is as follows;
- However many people are on the core team (usually the main artist, programmer, and me), we split the patreon income between us evenly, so in this case, we'd get 1/3rd apiece
- However, before we get the money, we deduct two types of fees, all of which are split between us evenly.
1) On all three Patreons, we have a "soundtrack" tier where the musician for all three games gets 50% of that tier; this is to keep his rates affordable for us, and also as sort of a bonus for him for work well done. If say, on Future Fragments, we make a total of $60 that month from that tier, then the musician gets $30 of it, which I pay him up front, and then I deduct $10 each from Triangulate and Frouge's amount they get that month (effectively deducting $10 each from us). We also have a "voicepack" tier on FF, which the voice actress gets 20% of; the difference here is that with the voice pack, they get a copy of the game at launch, whereas with the soundtrack, they don't get a copy of the game at launch, so the voicepack is effectively cutting into our profits more, if that makes sense.
2) Similar to 1), I pay up front for all "external" assets (music, voice acting, sound effects across all three games, boss fight animations on RR, GUI on II and RR), and then when the monthly patreon money comes in, I deduct the money evenly from everyone else's stuff, so we all pay the same amount.
- I don't do this for any games that don't have a demo out, so for II and RR, I've just been using my portion of profits from those games to pay for the external assets for those games, as I don't think it'd be fair to the other people on the project to get heavily nailed financially when we're not making much on either of them yet as the demo hasn't came out yet
- Even once the demo's out, I'd not want to deduct it in bulk from anyone's monthly amount, I'd generally split it up over time (like if they owed $600, i'd do $200 over 3 months.)
Nice! Glad to share this with us. As we suspect, jewcat is a scammer, and this pretty much helps us to see the difference between someone who is transparent and knows how to manage the money properly, and someone who just wants to fill its own pocket with money.
It is incredible that he is asking 6k to produce a shitty kinetic novel with 1 ending, which has been in production for 1.5 years, and produces a demo every 3 months vs you, who produce a demo each month, with a core team of at least 3, plus sound artist, VA, etc. by pretty much the same amount he wants just to add like 5 basic endings to a VN (while you said you had how many already in mind?), and I dont say this to suck your dick, just to contrast how much of a fraud that guy is.
Do take into account that I'm making a fair deal more than he is, and the only way I'm able to afford paying up front for stuff is that some of the people I'm working with are really generous with thier rates; for example, to get the backgrounds for Reclaim Reality, the voice actress for Magic Matchup fronted Badriel (the background artist) $1,000 to get production started, and I've been paying her back slowly over time. Without her help, we'd be a far cry back in terms of backgrounds for the demo/game.
Also take into account that, AFAIK, the artists that work with Cypress are asking flat/commission rates and not a percentage of Patreon income (as far as I know), and generally this requires a lot higher pay rates, as the artist isn't assured any income beyond that.
All of the artists I work with (besides the boss fight animator and GUI artists, as those are generally bursts of work then nothing for a long while needed from them) are getting a percentage of Patreon profits, so it's less "short term" income, but higher "long term income" due to game sales, which is something Cypress also isn't doing as his game is free, AFAIK.
So they've agreed to work at rates they normally wouldn't be up for because of the eventual game sales, which allows me to afford say, Geb working for only $250-ish a month, or Rtil working for only $250 a month, then once th demo comes out those amounts will go up much higher, but even then, they'll still be much lower than what they'd ask for if they were being commissioned with no game sales profits promised.
yeah, thats fine, but still that guy can already produce the game as it is, since he is already doing that. So what is the extra money for is my point? Like, with the actual amount of his patreon he already has an artist and a VA, which is everything he needs for the project, asking 1.5k more has any reason behind beyond "I want more money"?
And thats not for you to answer, but to him, because when people go and ask him for whats the money for he just avoids the question and says "Well fuck off and dont be my patreon"
>pay coder to help you make fuck ur aunt simulator
>he goes home for the holidays, doesn't work on game because he's busying fucking his aunt
>You don't fire him because you're too busy fucking your aunt
>Patreon bucks keep increasing regardless of delayed content so you fuck your aunt to celebrate
dedgame, RIP. Drowned in aunt's pussy.
>actually a game dev
This shitposting is out of control.
Friendly reminder that you always can fuck your auntie in our favourite ICstor games.
>paying people you have complaints about
What kind of ridiculous person would do this? You're like those cucks that tip when they get bad service.
>Some of the "adult" comics coming out nowadays are legitimately GOOD, rather than wankfodder.
You can do good hardcore or good softcore, if you want to fap with your mom's romantic novels, fair enough.
>check out Patreon

behead those who defame Ty Lee
Guess you must have missed about half the releases in the past year on DLSite. They've been partial games released with the plan to patch in future content. That's the new way of Nippon making things. Release early, get sales and money, finish through patches.
are you retarded? HW is friend of cypress, why would he be samefagging this?
Kudos to HW for being honest and transparent tho
>You are not a customer I want
Cypress... you're making a visual novel not revolutionising the gaming industry.
There was a scene like that in Vikings. But when the guy tried to do it, it was all a set up.
In my heart I dubbed the husband as "The anti-cuck". He pretended to be a cuck just to trap the cucker.
That might actually be good. Pizza man is the antagonist.
Thinking on this, I feel like this is something that a lot of games here don't have an antagonist. Maybe this kind of opposition and challenge is what is missing.
As a game developer, the biggest problem you are going to deal with is homework.
I strongly suggest that you only start developing games once you have finished all your homework, otherwise it will seriously impact the development proccess.
As this person said, seriously? What in the world would I achieve by doing this?
Plus, if you look at the person responding to me, the writing style is completely different.
It's almost like people just throw out insults or statements without putting any rational thinking behind them.
So according to DC, Arizona said the bug test version is ready. DC was afk as the time. Arizona is now afk.
DC waiting for him to come back. DC is staying by his computer in the meantime.
Why does he even need his coder?
The game exists and none of it seems to overlap
Judith plays out as A,B,C there's no "you talked to Roxxy i won't toss you off!" or anything
so if Judith exists and the writing is done by someone else, why can't he just take the writing and copy/change the code so that the Aunt's D,E,F scenes are added
Are they fucking retarded? Why do they need to be online at the same time?
Just have him upload it somewhere and send the link, so when the other comes back he can just download.
Why do they need to be online at the same time? This has to be the most inefficient thing I have seen in a while.
