Oda Non is a good example when it comes to art, pic related. In the same way that most western artists aren't good either right? We can cherry pick all day, of course most artists on both sides aren't going to be good. And there are plenty of japanese doujinshi and hentai manga with good stories. Theres this one old evangelion doujinshi series, Re-take, that has such a big story it almost feels like an official spin off. Theres also netoraserare and emergence off the top of my head. I can't give too many examples since I don't often read long running stuff, but theyre out there for sure.
Regardless of that, the point is if you can use Reinbach as your trump card when it comes to "proving the superiority of western artists" or whatever, I can use Oda Non as well.
