The student council is an evil club of semi-like-minded misfits, most of which have a shallow personality rooted in one gimmick that defines everything they do, like being suicidal or an idol or teacher's pet. Visually, this is exactly how they are drawn as well. Speaking of pets, MC is literally a dog following Master. Yumeko, Mary, and the president are the only characters with any suggestion of more depth lurking behind their immediate shell.
