I am well aware, but that didn't make it impossible. In the 1980s you were able to listen to radio broadcasts from different states, which are for the most part bigger than Japanese prefectures. The ending was shit and I refuse to accept it. It would have been INFINITELY better if Light had gotten Ryuk to agree to be Kira if/when Light died - and why the fuck wouldn't Ryuk have immediately agreed? The deathnote itself is a terrible way of eliminating crime, it can only punish, not rehabilitate and punishing anyone requires they die after something like 12 months if I remember correctly.
