The problem I had here is that he just lost control of the Geass when he was already showing signs of losing control before. For a guy that carefully calculates a lot of things I thought he was pretty careless there. Fixed with some contacts he can remove with a wave of his hand tho.

What I hated about the Geass was how OP it was. Lelouch could just take over the world by having enough people see his Geass. Why not make more rules to have the control limited to 1 person at a time or only use the geass a few times a day? It makes more sense to restrict its power to make it less convenient as a device.
