It's called closed captioning for the hearing impaired. If you actually were deaf you'd know that and that it's a wholly different thing than subtitles. And some DVDs have them. I think those released by Warner Bros usually did. But many don't because it's yet another expense the puny operators who translate anime can't afford. So you can complain about that and how virtually none of internet streaming videos have CC even normalfag stuff. Other than YouTube machine transcription which shouldn't count because it's shit. But calling CC "subs" is retarded and inflammatory and just said to troll and start yet another pointless sub-v-dub thread when everyone knows the real solution is to learn to read Moon so you can import anime and not be a EOL faggot.

Yeah, I've established already in exceedingly simple terms numerous times in this thread that I'm not deaf. I'm mildly hearing impaired, so I have trouble hearing SOME words. In normal movies, subtitles are by far good enough for this purpose. I normally don't need to utilize the same quality of life features fully deaf people do. This issue I'm having is entirely exclusive to anime so far.
