The endgame of anime

It was a piece of shit that fell down hill from episode 5 onward.
Paranoia Agent perfectly fits. The same way most anime labeled as "psychological" do.

Watched it a week ago after putting it off for years which I now strongly regret. Besides the ending it was really fucking good.
>>161991611
But Episode 8 was good.
>>161991564
Overrated, like everything by Kon
>>161991564
Say what?

i thought the ending was pretty cool
i liked when the police chief was smashing through the false reality
absolutely perfect

Ironically one of the very first things I watched, along with Kon's other stuff, because Susumu Hirasawa was my favorite musician as a teenager and I found out he did soundtracks for anime. I thought it and everything Kon made was crap. Eventually I watched Berserk via Hirasawa and that's what got me into anime.

A million times this.

Naota never even wore skates. This is the lamest attempt at a "fan"-made FLCL poster ever.

Speaking of overrated trash.

wut
>>161991564
really loved that episode when they were trying to make an anime and that guy kept constantly fucking up
>>161991564
Loved the opening and Adult Osaka but everything else felt somewhat tiringexcept the ghost episode, that episode was fucking great.

He's insinuating that you are too simplistic of an animal to recognize something with inherent value or beauty when it's presented to you. The irony being that if Kon works were a biological mineraloid they would be chalk or lignite at best, definitely not pearls. Too much of a hack.

If you show a pearl to a pig it'll just think it's an acorn and eat it because he is unable to understand the value of a pearl.
I really enjoyed it except episodes 9 & 11 (although 9 wasn't too bad). Everything else was great.
