Just seeing this now, but figure I might as well answer since I just marathoned the novel series.

In Hitokui Magical, Rizumu (the female, detective personality) dies. She gets killed by Ichihime, who then gets killed by Izumu.

In Nekosogi Radical, Izumu (the male, hitman personality) gets killed by Magokoro. So they are both dead by the end.

Hard to say. I haven't had much trouble with it, but I'm N1. I think Nisio's writing style (the run-on sentences, mostly) would probably be hard to understand if you aren't pretty fluent in Japanese.

I still have the last half of Nekosogi 3 to go, but she did get OTK'd by Magokoro at the start of Nekosogi 2. She immediately starts making excuses for why she doesn't have to give up her title of Strongest the text time we see her, though, and from what I've heard she does beat Magokoro at the very end anyway.

Different anon, but I read it after studying Japanese for four years and only had to look up the occasional word. It's harder than most light novels and easier than most literary fiction.
