I unironically enjoy black clover because it gives me exactly what I expect and I don't pretend that it's going to ever be edgy, grimdark, or anything but a mishmash of tropes and stereotypes. It's very generic but it is decent and I like a lot of the character designs.

The story is stupid with it's," I'll win by not giving up," that literally every character does. But the manga does deserve some praise for sticking to it's theme and not making the MC a special descendant of a powerful person or family and when the MC wins it really doesn't feel like an asspull because who can anticipate someone just running up to you and smashing you with a giant sword.

You know, I don't mind generic anime, but BC doesn't even pull off the tropes it's trying to use well. Everytime Tabata or editor-san or whoevever writing this pile of trash comes up with some interesting with a lot of potential, they immediately shit it all down the drain. I have never been one of those fags that yell asspull on top of their lungs everytime a main character gets a new abillity but the way it's implemented in this here is just so fucking lazy.
