No real need to be scared. In show with 39 episodes, only two scenes towards the end really give you the feels. The rest is pure fun. The scenes being the ones where they graduate. After you get to know and love the characters for 30 episodes, the thought of them having to split apart after graduation is not a pleasant one. Even I teared up during the graduation scene.

But that's at the end of their 3 years of highschool. Before that, you get to enjoy watching those 3 years, so really, nothing to be sacred of. Just watch it. It's a really good SoL show. I'd put it way above Dragon Maid, and I'm somehow who loved that show.
