Yeah I get that. I just can't find anything about 崩月 being a word for March. Seems to me like an original word meaning "crumbling/dieing month".
Since they don't know how people are born, they probably don't know their birthdays and as such can't know the specific day they will turn 20 and die. But I guess at the castle they group girls who are born within the same month together and release them after a set number of months as a batch. That way the girls can narrow down at which month they were born and thus know at which month they die, which is then called "dieing month".
