Eh, I think it's sort of the best of both worlds. If the anime had suddenly cut off without an ending, I'd have been annoyed, but if it tried to rush every single plot point into the ending and wrap everything up, it'd have been even more of a mess than it already was. This way, the anime has an ending which is coherent, and there's still more to be expanded on in the VN.

It was incoherent garbage, another failure of a VN adaptation. Steins;Gate was a complete accident, it seems. Every other nitroplus work has been mangled by failing to have a proper pacing or just straight away cut entire parts of the story.

It was just a glorified advertising for the Visual Novel, the plot was steady paced in about 7 episodes then it started dropping all developments and twists like wildfire for the remainder of the series, didn't have any lasting appeal other than Ryouka in my opinion, seems to be that way for other people too since Ryouka is all they sperg about, now that the official VN's cover art is 90% Ryouka then even the creators know about the only thing people ended up caring about in Occultic;Nine.

The plot twist in the end, with the whole series spanned in just 9 minutes in real-time, was really neat. I'm not sure on how that will work on VN since you can go through the story in your own, albeit slow, pace.

I saw some individuals acting like idiots and asking themselves why this girl is so prominently featured in the VN cover, to the point the actual protagonist is in the background.

So let me elaborate on why this girl, Ryoka, takes the spotlight in this story, without spoiling anything of actual relevance.

-Because she's the main female protagonist
-Because she's also the male protagonist's partner.
-Because much like Kurisu of S;G, she carries the plot, both literally and figuratively.

Got it? Now stop asking sumb questions and watch the anime, or play the VN. The only reason some are bothered by this cover is the girl's huge rack.

It had a real problem with pacing, like robotic;notes. R;N was too slow and boring and O;9 way too fast to let the almonds activate. If you can get over those issues, they are both really really good series.
