I just listened to some 90's anime songs, and they are MUCH better than what we have now.
Gundam Wing:
- JUST COMMUNICATION
- WHITE REFLECTION
Macross 7:
- HOLY LONELY LIGHT
- SEVENTH MOON
Card Captor Sakura:
- FRUITS CANDY
- Platina
Kareshi Kanojo
- Tenshi no Yubikiri
Sailor Moon
- Rashiku Ikimasho
- Sailor Star Song
Just to list a few.
Now we only have idol crap everywhere. And they can't even sing properly.
that fucking l'arc en ciel song in GTO
Macross is better than all of those
Yu Yu Hakusho, Smile Bomb
Mobile Fighter G Gundam, both Flying in the Sky and Trust You Forever

Because if you would sample anything today that is not idol crap you might find something that would destroy your confirmation bias and you can''t have that in a nostalgiafaggoty thread.

I like 90s songs because Japan seemed to be stuck making music like America did in the 1980s. A good mixture of synth and real instruments. And more upbeat pop.
They always seem to be about 10 years behind the US/Europe in musical trends. Which is why I have grown less interested in Japanese music in recent years. Soon all anime openings are just going to be autotune and pop guitars.

Because of the precious female protagonists of children's anime.
